.... or ‘romp’, come to that? Why do the tabloids use these daft words?

Taught my gd how to twist the other day, she thought it was great. Can’t do it to often now. Love to dance around the living room at times but at a much slower pace.
If you’ve got use it.

I might not cavort a lot but I certainly get involved in shenanigans.

Reminds me of dear Victoria Wood - 'Let's Do It!' grin

You should definitely NOT wear a romper suit if romping in the sexual sense, as you will be faced with the problem of getting out of it at the appropriate moment if you get my meaning!

A bit like a onesie then? ?

I walked round the corner and did a joyful little jump and clicked my heels together, after my last day at work - does that count as cavorting?

Misadventure,
When i was young I remember my nana speaking about a lady who lived nearby who had a bit of a reputation and saying she would cavort with any Tom, Dick or Harry. So I hope they were not doing the cavorting with you. Hope your toes are recovering.

Did anyone read about the 2 Tesco workers who were caught on camera cavorting in the office? 2 young lads saw them through the window, took photos of them and put them on display on a website. They have both been sacked, and were escorted from the shop in a walk of shame past all the staff on duty.

I've just remembered a story from a few years back about a bank manager and a young female employee accidentally getting shut into the cash machine. grin it was in a few newspapers.
They insisted it was quite innocent, but people suspected they'd been cavorting.

starlily my toes made a full recovery, thanks. I won't be pursuing a career as an athlete though. grin

Jumping in very late here, but another media-only word is 'revellers'. New Year's Eve is full of them seemingly. How do I know if I'm one of them? Have I ever revelled? How could I know?

Ditto MissAdventure, last time I cavorted in the bedroom I ended up on the floor in an ungainly heap with a badly damaged elbow. And it all started so well! A short burst of spontaneous silliness and - oh boy. Have to confess I've not entirely written myself off to bouts of happy/daft behaviour but I'll try to cool it a bit. Famous last words......

We still occasionally cavort but oh dear the planning that has to go into these days!!

Walking past a busker my friend started swaying and singing along. I said I’d never danced in my life and wasn’t starting now.
A bit sad at all the fun I’ve missed.

Amma54 ...If you can remember anything past midnight on NYE then you probably weren't a reveller ?

Cavorting was my mum’s favourite word!
She was always reporting that she had been to a social event and ‘saw so and so cavorting.’ She was also prone to re-enact the ‘cavorting’ she had witnessed. It always made the family laugh.
