I noticed a few for sale on ebay.
I'm a Bare Minerals fan. It took a wee bit of time to get the technique right, but there are videos on You Tube.
If you go to a Bare Minerals concession in the big dept stores, they will help you choose the correct shade.

Thank you all - really helpful, and perhaps I can still show my 'best face' - or the best I can make of it - to the world!

Pixi do a very good loose powder in a little compact and best of all it’s cruelty free, which very few brands are these days.

Look at Avon online, they do a good mineral loose powder.

You’re welcome ?

Oh thank you Squiffy, I have never tried mineral powders, but it looks like I will need to try something different now.

Mineral powders are great. Non-cakey and no unwanted chemicals - and definitely not £101!!! shock. One of the companies I use is My Beautiful Earth. The extra bonus is that you can buy refills, so saving the planet at the same time!

PS They do sample sizes for you to try.

'stays' - useless typing again.

I have just tried to order some 'Corn Silk' face powder and almost collapsed at seeing it on Amazon for £101 !! (My last purchase, about a year ago, was around £6.00.) Further enquiries revealed that it has been discontinued, although lots of people were saying they loved it and had used it for years. I have heard from the counter assistants in Boots that it is a favourite of make up artists and anyone doing wedding make up, because it is just so good and stays flawless all day. WHY do manufacturers do this? I will be lost without it - I have half a box left now; perhaps someone would be kind enough to recommend a good loose powder that doesn't go cakey, stay put all day and will not change colour. Help, ladies - I am desperate.
