It’s scary not knowing kitty, Bertie will be home soon enough, greyd is right, you can’t keep a footballer down. There’s a large piece of cake with your name on it. There was much naughtiness here, ours came with a side order of cream so some of that as well if you’d like it. Hang on in there, children are oh so resilient.

What a beautiful day, 20 deg showing on the car. Had breakfast out, then spent the day at RHS Hyde Hall, it was like a summers day. Came home and started planning this years veg garden.

We collected some sea food on the way home, but it wasn't a patch on the seafood we had bought at Aldburgh last week.

Oh dear kitty hope all is well soon, GC are a constant worry when We are not in charge.
I have had a major argument with my S tonight.
He is paranoid about my love and constant support of my GD , his daughter, with whom he has very little contact, weird I know but fact.
As if I didn't have enough to contend with it, he wants to create conflict, at age of 48 and living under my roof ,at my expense, I think he should consider me more.
A real rant but I am incandescent with rage.
Should I really have this to deal with?

Ann you should not, but my DS is not much older than yours and I know from experience that even at that age they are capable of remarkable levels of emotional immaturity at times, and you wonder where on Earth it comes from. I’m sure he will soon remember which side his bread is buttered.?

wobbly I envy you I planning a veg garden - I used to love growing vegetables!

We have very sandy soil, so our range of veg is limited, anything that matures during the hottest months tend to suffer from lack of water (we are in the driest part of the country)

Looks like I am already upsetting some members, time for a break perhaps.

Sorry to upset and sour the lovely atmosphere in the kitchen but I am so upset by my S who does little to support me and blames me for all his many personal problems.I am on the verge of a breakdown but can't emotionally afford to have one.

Talk to us about it, if you can, I'm sure you will get a sympathetic and empathetic ear.

I don't envy you the vegetables Wobbly but you know that I envy you the Aldeburgh trip!

Bertie is staying in and is very upset. He stayed up to watch the Wolves game on TV with DD'S partner as he loves football and he adores him but is now overtired and the ward is busy. Dd is settling down to sleep in a plastic chair by his bed. I feel happier knowing he is going to be there overnight but sorry for DD!

ann, Bertie will be fine in the morning but you need help with your Dh not hindrance. If you really feel unable to cope any more please call the emergency social work team or your on call gp.

My S has just been in to my bedroom after lots of aggro tonight and told me to get away for a couple of nights, he said he will cope.
I will ring my friend tomorrow and try to sort something out.
I really am desperate.

Even if that was said in the heat of the moment, you must admit you do need a break.
I hope you can go somewhere peaceful even for a couple of nights, get out in the fresh air, get a decent nights sleep and take up that offer.

You are not at all unwelcome here wobblybits so don’t go, but if I am being honest, the two threads you started were somewhat ill judged, maybe even asking for trouble ???

Ann, no matter how it came about, if you can bear to go a break can only do you good. In fact it may do you all good.

Wishing bertie well kitty and sending a hope that your daughter can sleep even if just a little bit. I’m sure it will be enough for her just to know she is with her son.

Just popped in to see how Ann is and whether Wobbly is still with us. I echo Maw's posts to both of you.

Ann, do 'escape' for a bit and please look into private carers who can come at a specific time, stay long enough and maybe even allow you a weekly escape.

Update on Bertie! They are waiting for a doctor to allow him to go home. Dd was brought a bed at 1.30 and they are going to get a referral to an asthma unit. Good old NHS and one releived Ma and Pa! Now she has to take out a mortgage to pay for the car park. Of course, there has been no sight or sound from the a***h**e even though DD messaged him throughout!

Lots of gardening for the Lesters today.

Good morning all.
I am so sorry to have burdened you with my rantings last night, I probably said too much.
I was so tired, I felt rather used yesterday. My H is physicaĺly back to normal but he will not do a thing for himself. He expects me to wait on him hand and foot and the mental stress and the up and doing everything got to me.
Then my S had a go at me and I erupted.
I feel like a wet rag today and am going back to bed when breakfast is sorted.
H was up at 5:20 am and didn't know where his bed was.
It is 8 weeks today since he was admitted to hospital.
I am pleased Bertie is fit for discharge kitty but it is a worry every time. I hope the clinic can start a regime of treatment for him that works, it seems like only last week he was ill before.

Morning Ann! Nice to see you in here and a good idea to get some rest. Then look into taking a break and getting some help. You know lots of us are in awe of your 'duracell' qualities but batteries inevitably run down and we worry about you doing the same.

It was 3 weeks or so ago that Bertie was last ill - far too recently for his ma!
