Happy as can be
All good friends and jolly good company.
Welcome.

I hope that SW has rung you now and done something helpful. That was a terrible night and you must be completely frazzled. Respite can't come soon enough. xx
Anne, how awful for you.
Oh, the shape of things to come. My sweet little blonde DGD has a provisional driving licence! She has been agitating for a scooter for her 16th birthday in three weeks' time and must have worn her parents down prevailed! Not so long ago, it seems, she was dressing up in princess garb and a tiara. Now she has a pink crash helmet. ?
Nannytopsy I wonder thst too. I had an email from Panache on Wednesday evening, when she also posted on the forum, but since then nothing. She said thst she had been very ill over the bank holiday weekend and was no longer eating. I fear she has been more ill than she has been letting on, always wanting to deflect from herself and comfort and support others. So sad. But just a glimmer of hope it could be her WiFi.
Ann I hope you’ve heard now. You just can’t go on like this!
Thankyou everyone.
He is going to his respite care home after lunch, so he will be there 2 weeks and 2 days.
I have asked for an urgent review next week as to the next step.
I am truly at the end of my resources.
I am very worried about Panache as I am sure many of us are.
I also had a PM on Wednesday. She was very unwell.
Ann I am sure you are relieved to get this bit of help , I hope the next step is easier for you to negotiate than you think .
I am worried about Panache too
you and she are in my thoughts
Ann. Thank goodness
Thank you so much for the people who had noticed my absence. I have had computer problems and hopefully everything is now sorted.
The one good thing was that I spent ages shredding so that I had a tidier place.
You are enduring such an awful time Ann and all we can do, as your GN friends, is try to be supportive and encourage you to seek help.
It will not help your DH if you collapse with the stress and strain and you would both be in a right old pickle if that were to happen. I really hope you can make the decision with a clear conscience, knowing how hard you have struggled to care for him at home, and the knowledge that truthfully, the time has come for that decision.
With warmest regards and kindest thoughts.

GaGa Belated birthday greetings. I'm happy that your day was filled with lovely treats. Why not extend the celebrations over the weekend. I do. It makes sense.
Ann Your pals in the kitchen have said all that there is to say. It is evident that you cannot be expected to continue risking your own health and sense of well-being. You need an urgent review of your situation. You deserve to be heard by all those who can put the necessary changes into motion. I've said it many times...you are an amazing lady.
A happy photo of grandson Will and his lovely partner at a wedding this weekend.
annsixty, I remember when my mum was at this juncture with my dad and how hard it was
.
ann, that is a relief. I'm glad that Social Services can take action quickly. The review you've requested is more than urgent now. It's crucial for your health and wellbeing.
I also had a PM from Panache on Wednesday morning. She didn't mention being unwell, but was uncharacteristically
My wilderness is gone! Every trace of horsetail has been obliterated, though I expect it's busy underground trying to find a way through! Now I have an almost blank canvas and have to think of some interesting and colourful perennials to bring life to the picture. And I will also have to make a foray to a garden centre to pick up some bulbs for my pots.
He has gone and I feel enormous relief and a tiny touch of guilt.
He was very upleasant to me this morning ,verbally, I certainly won't miss that or lying awake waiting for him to fall.
He has a lovely ,large en-suite room this time instead ot the pleasant functional but small one he has had before.
Fingers crossed now he will be fine.
That's good, ann. Now... breathe!
ann I do hope that you sleep well tonight- you should not have any guilt- you have done the very very best for H. Enjoy the 2 weeks and 2 days.
That must be a relief for you, Ann. Please don't feel guilty - no one could have done more. Enjoy your break and be realistic in your review meeting.
Your '2 weeks and 2days' made me smile. Dgd aged almost 5 came to stay for I week and one day and spent her time asking if today was the one day!
Hi charley, nice to see you again!!
I hope Panache is ok.
I hope to get back later.
Hi Kitty you may regret that lovely greeting when you see that as usual I am never out of soup's kitchen!
Glad to see you back Charley .
And also glad you have some breathing space ann .
Ann On reading your latest update I smiled. Thank goodness! No need in the slightest for a smidgeon of guilt. Relief...yes. Time for you to catch up with sleep and take yourself out and about whenever the opportunity arises.
I'm trusting that we may hear from Panache when she feels ready to share with us. I do know that she has been very poorly. She did say that she didn't wish to share her health issues with us because there are others in the kitchen who are also dealing with health and emotional problems. Spoken like a real lady. Our thoughts are with her.
I am logging off. I intend joining you all again tomorrow...after a leisurely walk, weather permitting.

Popped in quickly to say hello, and amazed by a full two pages of posts.
Skim reading, I also am concerned for panache and do hope her absence is simply wifi related.
Also spotted the news that you have a breathing space, ann
I hope you are able to sleep well tonight, and enjoy a little peace.
I have visitors arriving shortly, staying over en route to the north, so it has been a day of cleaning, tidying, shopping and cooking....hopefully allowing tomorrow to be one of relaxation and catching up on news with old friends.
Weekend good wishes to the kitchen!
In haste

Popping in to see what everyone is up to in between ironing while watching Tigers get pasted at Exeter - plus ca change! Only 4 more KS quilt covers before I start on the clothes. Can I borrow you Soop?!
Ann so pleased you will have a restful few nights. I don't often respond to your situation as I don't really know what to say. However, perhaps now is the time to reflect and make what you know to be a difficult decision. I shall hold you in the light.
Greyduster yes the park was marvellous and you would have been welcome. For Soop a hope the heartache you feel for your friend will ease, and your picture of the cat reminded me of another special feline you painted some time ago. Both stunning.
I fear bedtime will be delayed somewhat having partaken of a rather large Indian meal. Very nice though.
If any of you are at Chatsworth show tomorrow I shall wave and be thankful the weather is good.
