We are home. Safe and sound and a wee bit tired.
I took the Kindle with me in the hope of having time to catch up during MacS's scan. Only I didn't have a Wi-fi connection. I expect if I'd asked at the reception desk, someone may have been happy to assist. As it happens, a lady who sat beside me, told me the entire story of her very complicated life.
I've been thinking of ann and Mr and Mrs Panache throughout the day. Knowing that they both need comforting and support doesn't do anything positive to help fix their troubled lives. I wish that we could all lend a helping hand.
We set off at nine this morning. Shortly thereafter lights began flashing on the dashboard. Turned back for home. Rang hospital and cancelled appointment. MacS was about to start the car in order to take it to the garage in Campbeltown and the lights had all stopped flashing. Rang hospital and asked them to keep his appointment free. Had a lovely sunny journey to Oban, apart from major road works necessitating convoy assistance. A little late for appointment but not unduly so. I talked to the lady, in truth, she talked to me, and MacS was injected with a dye and had the scan. Results go to his GP in due course.
We then had wonderful fish, chips and mushy peas and a small glass of sparkling white wine. Did our pal's shopping in Lidl, and drove home in a mixture of blinding sunshine and occasional showers. Deep sigh.
Arriving home was a mega treat. Now I have ironing duties for same pal tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, all good vibrations heading to each and every one of you. Please take care of yourselves. Stay warm and safe.
