I do some voluntary work and have recently become quite friendly with another female volunteer about my age (I’m 70) - we’ve been for coffee a couple of times. Yesterday, over coffee, I admired her top - “ Oh”, she said, “yes, I like it now too - but when B (her husband) suggested I buy it, I wasn’t sure”. She went on to say she always took his advice on clothes and never bought anything that he didn’t like. I was quite surprised / not sure what to think about that - partly because my husband giving fashion advice is a very alien concept
, and partly because she seems a very strong independent person. Obviously you can be strong and independent and still take advice..... I have to say she always looks good!
