Saying something stupid

Driving home from a lovely swim followed by a sauna we passed two gritters busy spreading (there is snow locally.) Getting home I looked at the sky and commented to current OH "yes it looks as if its going to do something."

Thing is he KNEW what I meant.

This all reminds of lovely Victoria wood in a sketch which she referred to make up being ' in all colours of the speculum'. DS and I still use it and the word 'pochette' for make up bag.

Teetime, I loved that Victoria Wood sketch all of course by "Cacherelle".
I really thought she was one of the best and most of it from real life which made it very easy to relate to.

My Mil went shopping for a small wardrobe with lots of space inside. (She wasn't a Doctor Who fan!)

I told my husband thatI hadn't heard what he'd said and he replied "neither did I, I wasn't listening!" We were crying with laughter after that!
