Dry, mild and calm here on Welsh border. May stay with DD2 tonight to be there in morning when children open presents if OH feeling able to cope with a different bed etc. Otherwise we will have quiet day here and go over tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day and safe journeys of you are setting off somewhere.

Good morning All x
A bit of fog first thing but cleared now and so far bright.

Showered and ready for the onslaught at M&S for salads and fresh stuff and whatever else I " don't need ". Turkey thawed and ready for a long slow cook to make sure !

Finish wrapping toys for all the kiddies who I hear are all going to bed early tonight ! Yeeesssss, I'm sure .We'll see.

Take great care everyone and good health to you all this Christmas Eve.

Morning to all from the frosty Scottish Borders. I've been enjoying reading your messages while drinking my morning tea. Present wrapping and making stuffing (peeling chestnuts) for me. Out tonight to sing carols around our European neighbours' tree.

Cold and dry here this morning. Off to see my beautiful sister this morning for a coffee and a little bit of 'us' time.Lots to talk about as always and there may be a tear or two as we remember our loved ones no longer with us. MY oldest brother calling in later this evening for a bite to eat and a catch up on family news. DH waiting at home(hardship....NOT smile) to wait for the boilerman as the heating and hot water are no more due to a fault that occured yesterday. Merry Christmas everyone.

Good morning from a mild looking Staffs. A Happy Christmas to all and safe journeys too. Conscious of all those bereaved and/or alone.
DH has hernia surgery on 27th-can’t come soon enough although, understandably, he’s apprehensive.

Morning all from a cold foggy NI , gosh , that fog , visitors nearly stayed over last night !

MawBroon Mon 24-Dec-18 09:14:48

Good morning all and a very happy Christmas to you from N Bucks where it seems to have stopped raining at last.

Good morning from a surprisingly mild south east, it's certainly not going to be a white Christmas here.

Off to do a very last minute shop for some overlooked minor bits and pieces this morning.

Early evening we go with extended family to carols and Christmas children's mass and then back to their house for drinks, just one, clear head need for tomorrow and nibbles.

Have a good day everyone wherever you may be.

Good morning all. I was up at 8, went to my son's place to feed his cat (he's back later today), did a Zumba class, and put the washing machine on. I'm now going to have a shower, do some ironing, do the vacuuming and have a quiet day until the family get-together at our local for drinks tonight...

Good morning Christmas Eve Michael, Annie and all GN’s, from a very mild and calm Berks. I was out early, for me that is, as I had a fasting blood test. Oh how I missed my morning cuppa, but am OK now, after two brew brew
I put a load in the washing machine before I went out, and what presented itself to me on my return, a lone sock on the stairs. Why/ how, does one always escape?
Not a lot to do today, so will try and finish my knitting, just the sewing up to do. Then sort out, clothes wise, what to take to DD for Christmas and Boxing Day.
Have a peaceful day and a meaningful Christmas one and all.

Good morning GNs from Morecambe Bay, where there's a crisp frost and stunningly bright sunshine. I'm even thinking of hanging out washing....

Mapleleaf Mon 24-Dec-18 10:46:51

Good morning everyone.
Been up ages, waiting for meat delivery - still waiting, but I'm sure it will be here soon....
Done some other pottering jobs, making pastry, taking things out of the freezer to defrost, last bit of ironing, etc.
Just having a coffee break then will go and roll out the pastry and make the mince pies.
It's a brighter day today, a bit frosty in the air but more festive than of late.
Happy Christmas ? to you all. tchsmile
