Good morning and Happy New Year Michael and all GNs. Cold but shaping up to be a clear day in South Yorkshire. We had a bit of a hectic day yesterday so today will be much quieter. Whatever you are doing, have a happy day.

Thank you TerriBull I have just read the review in today’s DT and am glad I grabbed the opportunity to get the last seats!
Will report back tomorrow.

Morning All and a very Happy New Year to All

There’s actually a bit of clear sky and a sunrise here in the north of Norfolk.

We didn’t manage to last out to see the old year out last night and I only heard one firework - presumably there was at least one other to have woken me. A very quiet new year around here.

Good morning, everyone. Just starting to get light in my part of Wiltshire.
We are going to visit one of our Daughters later today. Both Grandsons will want to play me at FiFi (football came played on Xbox) .
A game I really am not good at and they both always thrash me.
Hope you all have a good day. Happy new year.
smile

Morning Mick and All.

A Happy New Year folks, especially to those going through difficult times.

Calm and grey sky in South Bucks

Large restocking of larder needed as we returned yesterday from 9 days with DS and GSs it’s been fun but very tiring.

I've just watched it too EllenVannin, so many people that I hadn't even realised had died last year. Not all famous, but significant nevertheless. My mum was one, aged 97.

Enjoyed the London fireworks on tv last night. Quiet day indoors today. A Very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year to everyone.

Happy New Year's Day fellow GNs. Fairly mild here in the south east and long may it continue till we get well past this side of winter. We had a quiet night in after a fairly busy Christmas, husband is barking like a dog with an ongoing cough so we didn't have any inclination to celebrate.

Maw if you return to the thread, I hope you enjoy "The Favourite" I've read very good reviews and it's the one film I would like to see out of the current crop.

Have a peaceful day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Mild in Kent too. Went to bed at 1.30am and was woken by a police helicopter hovering feet above our roof at 7am. He is still circling around now.
Cooking roast lamb for the family later, other than that, we have no plans.

Good morning and a Happy New Year to All x
So dark yet but mild, could do with some sharp frosts to clear these bugs--------I'm still not 100% To make things worse I'm watching all those who passed away last year, so sad. I'll have to pull myself together.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Wishing all a very Happy New Year.
Mick, Annie and all that I have got to 'know'.
May it be peaceful and fulfilling.

Good morning everybody and a Happy New Year to you all.
Still very dark here in N Bucks, did someone forget to order light for 2019?
I am off to see “The Favourite” at a small cinema nearby this afternoon. A friend’s son was involved in the production so I shall have to pay special attention (and not nod off!) I love Olivia Colman and can well believe she is perfect as Queen Anne.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and a peaceful year.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark and mild corner of Somerset. Pootling today. Christmas decorations began to disappear yesterday, have decided to keep some warm white lights in the conservatory, not Christmas lights but just ‘lights’ smile. Hope today is kind to everyone.

Good morning , everything is lovely and still here ( apart from the washing machine). Planning a chuck out day whilst my chicken is cooking - it's back to work for me tomorrow so it's the last day to do all the things that I didn't get round to doing ! Best wishes for the New Year .

Happy New year everyone! No idea what the weather's like as it's still pitch black outside. It's quiet though.
A nieghbour is coming in for a glass of fizz and a sausage roll later but after that it's a quiet day. The ACs may phone later but they're usually recuperating from Hogmanay so they'll not be fit for much!

kittylester Tue 01-Jan-19 06:49:27

Happy New year all.

It's dark and mild in North Leicestershire.

Not much happening today except loin girding for a relay of visitors over the rest of the week.

Kinnane Tue 01-Jan-19 06:47:51

Beechnut Tue 01-Jan-19 06:45:03

Happy New Year to everyone and Good morning. It’s still dark outside. The twinkling lights came on at half six and dragged me from my dozing.
I do hope the coming year will be as kind as it can be to us all. ?

BlueBelle Tue 01-Jan-19 06:45:01

Dark and mild here too on the east coast Happy new year everyone xxx

Gagagran Tue 01-Jan-19 06:41:51

Good Morning Mick and everyone and a Happy New Year to all.

It's dark and mild here on the south coast too and I would be very pleased for that to continue but it's supposed to get colder from tomorrow.

Today I am taking down the decorations for another year but I will miss the twinkling lights. At least daylight is slowly lengthening now and my spring bulbs are poking through towards it.

Hope the day, and the year is a good one for us all.

Good Morning , and a Happy New Year to everyone.
Its dark, but looks mild , do not know whether its a good sign but there's a black cat on the lawn outside my flat.
