Hello the kitchen. I really don’t mind you laughing at my soggy dilemma. It is nothing to that which I shall suffer when my children get to know about it. My son, I know, will make my life hell for weeks?♀️! Even I can see the funny side this morning, though I feel a little peeved now that I missed what is the best part of the day, as fish start to come to the top in the late afternoon and I love that - it’s very exciting (yes I know, I should get a life!). At the bottom of the forest road on the way out, DH was struggling with the gate, which has an awkard coded lock. I usually do it, but was not in a position to get out of the car! A nice young man, carting a load of photographic equipment, came along and helped him out, then asked the way to Bamford Station. We passed him again on the hill and asked if he wanted a lift. He took one look at me sitting in the front swaddled in blankets with no shoes or socks on and decided he’d walk!!
Kitty I am sorry to hear that Bertie’s asthma has floored him again. I can only hope that he will grow out of it soon, the same as I did when young. It is utterly miserable. As Marydoll says, medication is so much better now.
Hope you’re continuing to progress well, Soop and that you and MacS are being sure to rest.
Well, I will look in later for one of Marydoll’s hot cross buns, so hide one under a cushion for me, please, as they probably won’t last very long!
Good Morning Friday 21st August 2026

it’s nice to see you all
. Apologies as ever to those I’ve missed and a hug for anyone needing it.
