I haven`t been back long from Skegness, I went with my daughter to see Marty Wilde. He may be 80 but he puts on a great show, and can still belt em out, loved it.
Maw, ignore them. I haven`t been "got at" actually, but was shocked last week when I had a post deleted by GNHQ, for the first time ever, after being reported by someone. I think I also should stay in the safe environs of the kitchen.

Still not got a new cooker yet so no cakes for the kitchen I'm afraid but I am itching to try out the new oven, so watch this space I've decided to go for a dual fuel cooker. I was contemplating an electric with ceramic hob but am told they don't cool very quickly and as DGS is wanting to help in all sorts of areas these days (his way of finding out how things work) I dreaded the thought of him getting a nasty burn and having to explain to his parents why I let it happen

He's not backward in coming forward by any means. When I collect him on a Friday we go to the library for a bedtime story book and a dvd of his choice, which we watch while eating dinner. He was itching for me to play today's film and I told him to wait while I got dinner on the go. Next minute I heard the intro music of the film - he'd switched the tv on (which was a first) and navigated to the correct place to instruct Alexa to play his movie!! Think I might have to put parental control on

Galen I've just thought at this time of year you must be in the 'land of the midnight sun' in Norway. Does it have an impact onboard and are you able to get a night's sleep? Or does that depend on the number of bubbles you've imbibed? My mother did a similar cruise in August one year but never mentioned light nights. However, we always joked she could sleep on a clothes line and she said herself she was in London on VE night and slept through all the celebrations

Thanks for all your concern about the long wait for my scan results. A friend suggested I go to the walk-in emergency clinic held each morning, but if I did that I could be preventing someone else from attending who may have a real emergency. Mind you, it may become an emergency for my nerves in 2 weeks time No, I must use this time to act on things I've shelved whilst waiting for the scan

Anneliese Yes...birds do fly into our window from time to time. I always fret like mad. Invariably, if left alone, they eventually recover and fly off albeit with a headache.

Oh my goodness! Two of them just flew into the conservatory window! Fortunately they weren’t hurt!

We appear to have started a crèche for young starlings. Our garden seems to be a great place to play while their mums and dad go off and do their own thing! It’s great fun to try to balance on the washing line, and to jump in and out of the pots of primula. We’ve put a few tadpoles into a container of pond water (otherwise the fish eat them all) and apparently it’s much more interesting to have a bath there rather than in the clean tray of water we have provided. But most fun of all is to pretend the pond netting is a trampoline! We’ve spent the last hour watching their antics - they are just like mischievous children!

Oh galen, serious envy here. When we were able to visit the fjords my favourite activity was sitting on the balcony and just looking. Nothing better. Enjoy every moment.

Sounds a fun weekend ahead n&g, the boys will have a wonderful time.

The garden of our last home has been changed beyond recognition nannnyt, decking instead of lawn and my wonderful rose bed and pretty pond have vanished under it. It doesn't upset me, I’ve let go. However, your situation is different, not sure what I’d do if I needed to sell. Sometimes needs must.

There is a huge amount of support in this kitchen. It is exactly what I had hoped for way back when I felt low in spirit. Ever since the first kitchen opened it's doors, I can truthfully say that we have all contributed something in a positive way.

Just back from the GP surgery trying to book an appointment to get yesterday's scan results. You could have knocked me down with the proverbial feather when the receptionist not only said it would be 3 weeks but it would also be that length of time to get a phone consultation

I shall rewrite my list post! Dragonfly the council would buy the house, do what is needed and let to council tenants - a big family in this case. They would not expect them to maintain the garden so would slab/turf it. Nearly everyone on the estate has been here over twenty years so I can imagine how popular we would be!

Sun is peeping out here , had a walk round outside , this is the first time since I left my Parents home , that I have got a garden , even though DD1 thinks it is hers !I spotted the pale lemon Nasturtiums from last year have seeded in a few places , so pretty when they get going .
I need to go to the shop , but it is one of those Mornings when it takes an effort to get out the front door , need a shove !!

Abusing by PM is even worse as they are hidden.
Fortunately I have not be party to anything like that.
