It's a lovely new loo seat gillybob. (pats gillybob on head in a soothing sort of way)

a pretty nondescript day, took grandson out earlier, spent money as per usual, made tea, washed up, he's upstairs on the Xbox, just browsing the 'net

gillybob Sat 03-Aug-19 18:49:05

Thank you Gonegirl I’m really rather happy with it . Just plain and functional, nothing fancy. A bit like me .

I'm tired but content this evening thinking about our visit to Shropshire early today with our little grandsons to see real mammoth (bones).

It was a complete surprise to both boys.

Little DGS (4 yr old) who is a massive mammoth fan was so excited when he walked round the corner and came face to face with the mammoth said 'Gran my body is shaking.smile.

the pan is perfect Gillybob

It's been OK.
This is the right thread.

My French helper arrived and together we got Brownie points for mowing the grass for an even more tired old lady than me.

A woman came and collected a chest of drawers I was giving away, part of decluttering. She is going to upcycle it apparently. She showed me lots of pictures of furniture she has already done. I was impressed.

It is very warm and we are about to have a very simple meal mainly from our garden veg.

Cherrytree59 Awww! That is so sweet. Bless him. smile

Minniemoo Sat 03-Aug-19 19:14:16

Your loo made me laugh gillybob. Definitely wrong thread.

Sara65 Sat 03-Aug-19 19:38:27

DH is running me a bath, I'm too tired to go and turn the taps off.
I'm indifferent to the fact that it might flood the bathroom if I don't move now. ?

Minniemoo Sat 03-Aug-19 19:49:28

I like it Marydoll. Been in that position many times. Comfortably numb. That's me.

Jane10 Sat 03-Aug-19 20:11:52

I'm slumped here with a nice glass of Rosé catching up on recorded TV programmes. I've got quite a good book to read after I've finished that. If I finish it...

Gonegirl Sat 03-Aug-19 20:13:27

I have just eaten another one and a half slices of chocolate cake. I know I should go on exercise bike to offset the calories, but it aint gonna happen.

Sara65 Sat 03-Aug-19 20:18:29

Just caught up on the Archers on the IPlayer, now switching to my book, wondering if I can be bothered to get up and get some ice cream

Jane10 Sat 03-Aug-19 20:19:42

DH brought home a huge bale of rolls of good quality bog roll today. Always a comforting thought.

Cherrytree59 Sat 03-Aug-19 20:38:22

Jane10 that would be a comforting thought for me also!?

Running out of loo roll is one of my nightmares.shock

I like a well stocked cupboard with loo and kitchen roll.

TerriBull Sat 03-Aug-19 20:48:18

I've done some ironing so the pile'd gone down, a bit.

Made a fruit cake yesterday, so husband was pleased with that chomped his way through a couple of slices and I had a incy wincy bit.

Will watch new Danish thriller series on BBC4 starting at 9, will almost certainly fall asleep and be none the wiser

TerriBull Sat 03-Aug-19 20:49:24

pile'd pile's

Merseybelle2 Sat 03-Aug-19 22:38:45

Gonegirl Sat 03-Aug-19 22:45:04

Well? Been ok. Don't wanna go overboard do we?

Gonegirl Sat 03-Aug-19 22:45:46

Dunno where that question mark came from.

Zzzzzzz

dragonfly46 Sat 03-Aug-19 22:46:18
