Do you remember?Scraps.

Am I the only one who got them from Sunday School? Right little angel I was.

I'd forgotten all about scraps - the paper kind. There were flowery ones but the most popular and the ones most frequently swapped were the variously coloured angels/cherubs.

Amazon have them I started a collection for my girlies,I got lovely sparkly christmas ones last year and they loved them.

I know gender specific yoys are not the way forward..but if that what they like.They are also into cars in a big way.their dad teaches racing drivers to drive so scraps are fine

I remember both. The ones from the fish shop and the ones for the scrap book. Many a wet afternoon spent with my scrap book. I have seen them on line but can't remember where.

I have no recollection of these at all! All of you who remember them are either much older or much younger than me .

Chip shops round here used to give out bags of scribbles, but not any more. I used to love them don't suppose my arteries did though

I was going through our attic last year and came across some books from when I was about 10 and in each page was a scrap .thats what prompted me to buy some for my GD's.We love swapping scraps at playtime

So many things that kept us entertained for hours and cost our parents so little. Heights/chinese ropes (elastic bands), balls (tennis balls against a wall &between legs etc), scraps (often kept in any book lying about the house and doublers swapped with a pal), kick the can, kiss cuddle or torture, shadow puppets etc - the list is endless. It gave us exercise, fresh air, social skills and a developed imagination which led in later life to childrens stories being written, poems published numerous times and an aged person still having the ability to create things that charity shops can display/sell in their shops and raise funds for whatever their cause is.
The past helps the present and all thanks to a 70's childhood and everyday Glasgow games that every child played.

Christmas crackers in the 1950's had lovely stickers on the crepe paper and I collected them to put in a scrapbook after Christmas.
Chippy scraps came later but they were delicious.

I had scraps in my scrapbook, I think they were fairies and garlands mainly, loved having a scrapbook, pasting in clippings from the newspaper and birthday and Christmas cards.

Oh yes I remember scraps, loved them. Seem to remember waterbabies or something similar with wings. Know that sounds silly but that’s all I can remember, they seem to come in different sizes. Loved swapping them with my friends.

Yes I remember these. I remember buying them occasionally but I can't remember for the life of me what I did with them!

My brothers were mid and late 50's then when it turned into 60's I appeared - my mum must've been getting Christmas crackers like that because I seem to remember them on Christmas tree in 60's . For some strange reason a red one in crepe paper is stuck in my head and the scrap was golden (I was probably still in my nappies so amazing I remember anything )

I remember that at Christmas we got tangerines where one or two would be wrapped in crinkly gold tissue paper, I would also stick this in my scrapbook book.

I did used to make scrapbooks but never had or bought ‘scraps’ most of my pictures were cut out of old magazines or comics if I remember rightly

I used to love scraps when I was about 10 in the 50s. They were coloured stickers on various themes, animals,dolls, sport etc. We used to pass the shop after school to buy a new set to put in a scrapbook. There was something magic about them.

I still get them and do lots of decoupage projects with them !
