Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.
I was 65 in July and I was lucky to retire at 55 ,did take a part time job for 2 years then decided I didn't need the money or the getting up at 6 so became a lady of leisure again and don't regret it one bit.
I'm 60.4. Retired as Deputy Headteacher at 58, joined Gransnet when I was 54 looking for advice and have always appreciated the support that is Gransnet along with the virtual friendship. I don't post often, however I do follow the Good Morning threads avidly. Thankyou all for being there, wherever there is!
73 next month, but as with everyone else much younger in my head. It’s only when I walk past a window showing my reflection or because of aches and pains I know I look like my age !
