Whenever mum became agitated due to dementia I had a playlist I could rely on to calm her. It was made up of all her favourites but it was Matt Monro's 'Days Like These' that worked every time.

I agree about many listed. The other evening a memory triggered a song by John Denver, so I went to youtube and spent the evening listening to him. I realised that I hadn't really appreciated years ago just what an amazing voice he had. Beautiful lyrics and a lovely voice. Sad ending.

Can I just mention that my uncle loved Annie Frind, singing The Nun's Chorus. Then he sat on the record!

Rod Stewart and Shania Twain and with the passing of Marie I watched some of their songs on You Tube and realised how strong her voice was and lyrically the songs were class also.

Wonderful memories from those names above!

We were privileged to get to see 'Elvis at the O2' on 1st December, Priscilla Presley brought over his old band members, and teamed them up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to accompany videos of his old concerts, shown on the big screens. It was fantastic, just as if we were attending one of his concerts. She had tears in her eyes at the end, saying it would be the last concert. Bless them, amazing that the band could still produce that sound, and they deserve their rest!
