I suppose it’s human nature to gossip ( isn’t that what the anthropologists say?). I think that’s why I support a monarchy- something to fantasise about .( I know - get a life Atqui) But I don’t think there’s any need to be vitriolic about the characters in this theatre.

Kate is no angel....she changed Universities and flaunted herself to capture a Prince. She played her cards right .

Maybe Kate is no angel crazyH, and maybe she was determined to get William, but all respect to her, she has at least followed through on the demands of the role which became hers as a result. Not like Meghan, who wanted the royal title, but doesn’t seem prepared to undertake the responsibility that it entails.

How do you know what Meghan wanted?

Until all this blew up, I had taken no interest at all in Harry and Meghan. I didn't even watch their wedding.

However, it all seems so obvious that this has been created by the media. The source of allegedly knowing what Meghan wanted seems to be her own family. Frankly, they don't seem like a very pleasant bunch and I'm not in the slightest surprised that she doesn't want anything to do with them.

The people who are fuelling this are those who seem greedy for gossip about the royal family as the ultimate soap opera.

All I want to say is that Catherine is very dignified and never seems to let herself or the royal family down.

@Anniebach, she didn't. She apparently changed plans on leaving school, took a gap year and applied to St Andrews instead of Edinburgh which was her 1st choice on UCAS

I think Meghan's intentions were obvious from the start. No wonder William wasn't keen! She has what she wanted anyway, a title, world wide recognition and a never ending source of income because of her son. She is now free to follow her own agenda and push brand Meghan as much as she desires.

The one thing (ok, not the only thing) that keeps getting me narked is this bloody Daily Mail thing (and used by some posters) of referring to her as "Kate Middleton" !

For heavens sake, how long ago did she and William get married? She is not Kate Middleton

Does flaunting oneself guarantee a Prince ? , that’s where I went wrong, wearing an Akela skirt and jumper wasn’t flaunting was it ?

Seems to me there is always a Royal wedding/birth/scandal etc to take our attention away from the government and what they are doing (or not doing). Cynical ... Moi?!

I foresee that Harry and Meghan will be divorced within the next two years. (Such a shame.) But the lifestyle that they are envisioning for themselves just won't work.

I'm inclined to agree lyndiloo and the sooner the better so Harry can move on.
