How did you choose your username

Because I like to think I am...

It's a corruption of one of my given names the rest of it was inspired by Nina Nannar the journalist.

It's what my grandson calls me. And as the little darling can do no wrong, I love it!

It's the way my friend shortens my full name (Natalie)

My knickers keep falling down.

Mine is because that is exactly what all my Grandchildren are to me!

I had just been watching a couple of swans having a bit of a disagreement on the river below my window.

My daughter got pregnant with my first grandchild and then the scan said it was twins so looking forward to a grandchild became TwiceasNice

I was possibly wearing one. I also love sky blue cardigans, among others. I'm probably quite a beige person, being fairly middle of the road but hopefully with hidden depths.

I chose mine as it is my first DGSs name and I wasn't a gran before then!

Mine was the fragrance of a candle that was next to me on a table when I joined.

I tried many others that were already taken. I have since googled mine and found another with the same name but starting with a capital.

I'm curvy and I'm a gran !
[I don't think there's much hope of changing the former and I'd never want to change the latter . ]

Because many years ago I noticed an article in Country Living with a picture of a woman potting plants in a greenhouse wearing a a cream cashmere jumper. The caption was "Here is Pernilla, gardening, in her vanilla cashmere sweater, £lotsandlots from (very expensive shop) " Part of me wanted to be that Pernilla, so she is now my alter ego.

Mine reflects what I'm hoping for literally and metaphorically speaking!

The first couple of names I went for had already been taken. Was Neil Sedaka playing on the radio, or did I just glance at the calendar?

The first part is my name, but not the name I’m known by, it’s my middle name, and I like it better than the name I’m actually known by. The second bit has no relevance at all really, except that we were down to one cat when we’d actually had three. Sadly we’re now down to no cats since our last sweet boy died last year.

Because at one time I was called (quite unfairly!) the Christmas Grump.

I chose mine quickly and without much thought, when I was a new member. My nephew used to call me Norts, when he was a toddler (he’s 42 now).

I wish I had been a bit more creative because I love some of the other user names on GN - QuaintIrene, Dragonfly, BlueBelle and Sark are all lovely and more artistic/interesting than Norts ...
