What's your favourite time of day?

My favourite time. Dinner finished (early today) all cleared away and the dishwasher humming. I have retreated to my little study - topped up the Chardonnay (or grape juice if this is a non alcohol day). Checking emails and the few friends I have on Facebook, plus just looking stuff up on the Internet and I think that this is my favourite time of day. Will wander into the sitting room later when we watch something like Flesh & Blood or Liar. I remember back in the day when this was such a frantic time - checking homework - getting stuff ready for the next day etc. There is a benefit to retirement and just having time to do what we want. What is your favourite time of day?

I like early morning, I struggle after 2pm but enjoy a nice relaxing bath in the evenings evenings.

I like forenoons. I feel purposeful then, as there's always plenty to do. I'm a bit of a night owl, having a new lease of life around ten ish, so happily occupied then too. I often iron or wash floors then. Strange that none of us have mentioned afternoon.

1am when I'm always wide awake, checking the posts on Gransnet.

9am ? rayhansen

Morning for me too, I walk the dogs, empty the dish washer, feed the cats then I can sit down with coffee, cereal and GN. So relaxing.

That moment at the end of the day when nothing needs cooking/cleaning/feeding.

4.00am on a warm sunny summers morning on my days off work.
Nothing but birdsong breaking the silence.
No dogs barking, no people jibber jabbering away, no phones, no traffic.
And Definately No Alarm Clock!
Utter bliss.

My favourite time is 9am watching tv with a small beer chatting to friends online and going to bed on my own

I love evenings as the sun sets....I live in the North East and am very lucky to experience this regularly.
Just me and my dogs!

Early morning when I wake up, especially when I hear the birds chirping, and I think I’m still here to see another day, never take anything for granted,

Early morning for me. I always rise early, switch on BBC TV, look at my laptop, and enjoy the peace and quiet before the day begins. I'm an early bird, rather than night owl.

Depends on the season. Around 0600 in summer and 2100 ish in winter.

Getting into bed after bathing and sorting out DH, hoping he won’t wake till a reasonable hour. I catch up on TV on the I-pad or read, and it is absolutely my own private time.

My favourite time of the day is late on a night when I am on my own and can chill. It always has been even when all the children were at home, once they were all in bed it was me time, even more now when my husband is settled and I can just chill, no needing to see to his needs, which is what I do from coming home from work.

Early morning before hubby is awake. Let the chicken out, feed the dog and fat and listen to the birds singing, especially now spring is near.

Waking up and realising I don’t have to get up and go to work. Although I have been retired from a busy and extremely challenging profession for 10 years it still gives me pleasure to roll over, snuggle down and have another little snooze!

Waking up on a day off from work and no urgent things to do so i can please myself.

Bedtime! When I was very unhappy in a job I comforted myself with the thought that bedtime would always come round.

I love early morning, birdsong and breakfast and greeting my dogs!

O wake up early, often before sunrise. I love the oplescent colours of the sunrise, the quiteness and solitude it affords me. I am an "extreme lark", the rest of my family tend to owlishness...

Happiyogi Wed 11-Mar-20 12:14:40

Bed o'clock! Cosy and warm and reading for an hour. Or two...smile
