5 portions of fun a day

Over the year my 5 portions of fun would be
Eating Fish and chips by the sea
Drinking a whiskey by the fire in winter
Sitting in a chair on a freshly cut lawn with a cup of tea
All with friends and family
But 5 portions of fun every day to keep the moral high while living solo in a flat would change it to
Eating steamed salmon with broccoli
Drinking whiskey near a radiator when cold
Sitting on my balcony with a cuppa

Flowers
Spending time with my grandson
Cuddling up in a warm bed with a good audio book
A lovely crisp salad
Solitude

A good board game with great company.
A "country" garden.
End of the day on a family holiday as the sun is setting.
A great film.
The company of my lovely husband.

A few hours in the garden/allotment
Ice cream by the sea
Dancing to a 1970s mix
A muddy walk
A nice cup of tea

Definitely the beach/sea calms and invigorates in one go
A Belgian bun or packet of hand cooked crisps and glass of cider
Allotment digging /growing things
Fun and laughter at work
Sleep with hot water bottle and two duvets (in winter of course)

Walking by sea with dog.
Eating fish chips out of paper bag.
Watching tide roll in while eating above.
Going to bed early getting tucked in and reading.
Adding Baileys to my coffee.

A day in the garden

A guilty Easter egg (just eaten one that I’d bought for someone in the family)

Watching the sea in Tregardock

Sat with offspring - chatting

Getting into a warm soft bed with a good book

Hmm -I think I'd:

Watch some funny YouTube clips
Scroll through family photo's on my phone
Play Yahtzee with The Wonderful Man
Make a nice cocktail* to drink
Chat online to my youngest grandchildren who are all great fun at the moment.

* This year, in anticipation of Mother's Day I have asked my children to each buy me one of four different flavoured bottles of Baileys. I've told them to drink it at my wake if I don't live long enough to have polished them all off myself.

E mail / chat with family and friends
Flowers
Warm and snug indoors when it's raining out
All the housework done (preferably by someone else)
Drawing, reading ( anything really) with the DGC

Reading
Watching the clouds
Sunshine
Sound of the sea (if you live near enough).
A good nights sleep
