Hello all, good wishes to you.

This, I hope will be practical yet light hearted.

Mr P and I did a freezer inventory yesterday, found a couple of UFO's where either we hadn't labelled, or the labels had come off blush

However it was definitely worth doing! The lonely, sad looking chicken breast with freezer burn, and of indeterminate age, was cooked for the cats.

Other items have been earmarked for future use, and the clearing has made room for other things, such as half a loaf of bread (always seem to go mouldy before we get to the end) and some of my (in)famous "random vegetable soup".

Have also started going through cupboards and chests of drawers, found things to go to the charity shop, plus things we'd forgotten about, and now feel like new additions to our wardrobe!

I will still be working, but even though I have been set up with remote access, there will be less to do, so plan to do some practical stuff around the house.

I also plan to actually use the home waxing strips that a GN member recommended, but have been languishing in the bathroom cupboard, especially now that the little salon in the village has temporarily closed. Be prepared for howling, either because I have become so hairy that I could pass for a werewolf, or the howls of pain and anguish as I rip the damn strips off!

What do you plan to do, that you wouldn't otherwise?

I've caught up with all my laundry, including those thick heavy winter jumpers that take ages to dry, whilst the sun shone and it was a blowy day. Then I cleared out the garden shed and found dahlia tubers, begonia corms and an over wintered phlox from last summer and so I've potted them on. I mowed and strimmed the lawns, weeded the flower beds and then cleaned all my gardening tools ready for summer. Proper little hive of activity today!

Goodness I feel worn out reading that, Chewbacca
Well done.

I tidied the strawberry bed, sprayed some errant cuckoo pint (I don't like using weed killer but it is the only thing for that) and generally had a mooch round, thinking about what to do grin
