Well, it was lovely to see the sunshine, but I’ve been watching the news, which was probably a mistake because my good mood has pretty much evaporated.

Participating in the Good Morning thread, everyone is trying their best to be bright and cheerful in this damn awful situation we all find ourselves in. Nice we are all here for each other. Lets hope everyone feels the same.

The promise of another sunny day which allows me to potter about in the garden, discovering new buds, plants emerging for another year bringing life to the garden again.

Fresh air, exercise and coffee breaks al fresco. Bliss?

Seeing the blue sky and sunshine I’ll be taking a long walk after breakfast.

Heard Italy seems in slightly better situation today. Hurrah

Waking up to sunshine ?

Sunshine and a load of seeds to plant!
It’s time to get my vegetables going ready for a summer harvest.
I will pick the last of my winter spinach and kale to make soup.
Also a little bonus we had a call yesterday to say the rest of our wine would be delivered..... we forgot we had paid for some wine weeks ago but they had only stock to fulfil part of the order.

This relates to yesterday really, but my amaryllis, which DD who lives in Oz sent to me years ago, came out in beautiful flowers. Just seemed so appropriate for Mothering Sunday.

I agree with all your comments. A dreadful situation and we can be forgiven for being worried and downbeat.
Let's carry on doing our best and taking what small pleasures we can from each day, and we'll hopefully boost our mental health and keep our spirits up.
I tidied my outdoor pots after brekkie and now going to plant herbs in pots.

Saw a bumblebee buzzing around my little garden this morning. Hope it finds nourishment somewhere because there's nothing out yet!
The thought that seagulls might revert to their 'proper' feeding grounds now rather than mugging visitors for their chips and ice cream around the harbour. Because there are only a few visitors.
The sun is shining.

The live news stream on the BBC site has an alternative stream of good news with stories of people doing positive and caring things. Cheered me up.

Lovely sunny day, two lots of washing blowing in the wind, a good wash day always puts me in a good mood.

Avoiding the News, but lovely seeing blue sky and sunshine. And, Nature is continuing, trees in bud, flowers coming up, birds nesting, squirrels around local park.

Getting a Sainsbury's priority delivery slot tomorrow! I have just done my order.

And hanging out the washing for the first time this year on a lovely spring morning.

of one of our mountain ridge was posted, someone said
‘ that’s where all the loo rolls have gone’

I am looking after my son's dog today and seeing him chase a bee round the garden made me smile

I've just come in from our Close chat. I live in a small Close so the only traffic here is people who live here.
Today 6 of us took a garden chair and a cup of tea down to the end and sat (apart) and put the world to rights.

A walk in the sunshine along the river. No one about. Bliss

The news that GS had a brilliant grade in the English exam he took just before school shut. And the fact that the sun is shining!

Pottering about in the garden and greenhouse. Putting in some seeds and putting some plants out in the sunshine to start hardening off.
