... the clocks go forward. I had completely forgotten.

SueDonim Sat 28-Mar-20 21:29:41

Point me in the right direction, for GD43 Phoenix. Is this the Alex Salmond thread?

As for the clocks going forward, a meme I saw today said ‘Don’t forget to put your clocks forward, so you’re not late in getting up tomorrow to sit on your sofa in the living room.’ grin

SueDonim Sat 28-Mar-20 21:31:32

Oh, I found it, Phoenix! Am off to read it now.

phoenix Sat 28-Mar-20 21:35:24

GabriellaG54 and Manmar2 thanks for the offer, but NO lubricant, not even Vaseline. I think any preparation of the relevant area could be achieved with sandpaper, although the idea of tickets is quite tempting!

BradfordLass73 I'm hanging my head in shame blush

But feeling grin at the other responses!

However, this is a very naughty thing, hijacking a perfectly sensible thread about the clock change. blush

Do you think "he" will find it?

phoenix Sat 28-Mar-20 21:37:23

"Tickets"??? *I'm sure I typed"rockets"!! Damn auto correct!

Although, perhaps we could sell tickets...........

Anniebach Sat 28-Mar-20 21:39:10

We should remember the person has legal secretaries who read this forum for laughs , the person said so, again, and again and again x 1000

Lisagran Sat 28-Mar-20 21:39:25

I would imagine, Phoenix, re your comment at 21.35.24, that the aforementioned will, in this particular instance, undoubtably be, in all probability, and notwithstanding.............

GrannyLaine Sat 28-Mar-20 21:43:35

But phoenix the idea of tickets could be quite a fund raiser.

GabriellaG54 Sat 28-Mar-20 21:43:55

Ready steady go...

GabriellaG54 Sat 28-Mar-20 21:46:11

Not quite the right 'entrance'...?
More of a flashy exit...

Manmar2 Sat 28-Mar-20 21:48:17

GrannyLaine I reckon we could make a fortune selling tickets..

SueDonim Sat 28-Mar-20 21:53:09

Oh lord, I couldn’t resist posting on there. grin

The creamy cabbage sounds v nice!

Callistemon Sat 28-Mar-20 22:19:09

SueDonim I am laughing about your sitting on the sofa comment!!

phoenix Sat 28-Mar-20 22:31:04

Well, that's me told!

phoenix Sat 28-Mar-20 22:33:11

Do you think GNHQ were being extra vigilant, or did someone report me?

GrannyLaine Sat 28-Mar-20 22:37:42

This is a proper Trojan horse isn't it? Hiding some lengthy sewing medium in a similar length elsewhere ?

GrannyLaine Sat 28-Mar-20 22:41:24

Or maybe not.....hmm

SueDonim Sat 28-Mar-20 23:56:21

Norty, norty Phoenix. grin

Chewbacca Sun 29-Mar-20 00:11:55

Missed it. Again!

fatgran57 Sun 29-Mar-20 00:55:54

What have I missed? Don't you get suspended Phoenix don't let the b#*!' get you into trouble.

It sometimes sounds as though someone has swallowed the minutes of a board meeting!

I feel sorry for Elizabeth Mainwaring. Although what am I thinking!!! She ruled the roost with a rod of iron at home which helped make him so pompous when he got away from hergrin

GracesGranMK3 Sun 29-Mar-20 09:17:14

I reported your post (not you) phoenix.

Nandalot Sun 29-Mar-20 09:41:44

I don’t know what’s going on here! ???

Callistemon Sun 29-Mar-20 09:46:23

Our clock on the mantelpiece changed all by itself. Very clever.
The inhouse clock changer did the rest, apart from the car which may have to wait until October.

I wonder how long it takes to change the clocks in Buckinham Palace?

eazybee Sun 29-Mar-20 10:11:32

Will alter my fiddly bedside clock and radio, which has been seventeen minutes fast after the third of the power cuts we had a month ago. I confidently predict there will then be another power cut.

Callistemon Sun 29-Mar-20 12:24:56

Time is a bit meaningless for some of us, though, at the moment.
Apart from is it lunchtime yet?

Callistemon Sun 29-Mar-20 12:25:29

And yes, it is although I've just had morning coffee.
