Family What’sApp group have been debating this all day with several different answers! Any takers?

Calculate the wrist straps times the bloke with whatever he is wearing plus shoe.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 29-Mar-20 15:44:04

EllanVannin Sun 29-Mar-20 15:47:36

>>>>>>another one here missed the x sign ( rolls eyes ) 60

Whitewavemark2 Sun 29-Mar-20 15:48:28

Bugger

57

EllanVannin Sun 29-Mar-20 15:48:51

10+5x4==60.

Oldernewgranny Sun 29-Mar-20 15:50:08

I thought is was 60 but don’t know why the athlete is carrying weights in the last row. Is that to confuse us?

Katek Sun 29-Mar-20 15:50:17

See what I mean?!? The one in the family with the maths degree made it 25 but I can’t see how.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 29-Mar-20 15:50:23

10+5+3+10+10x1 and 1/2 = 57

Grannmarie Sun 29-Mar-20 15:50:54

With BODMAS, Divide or Multiply come before Add or Subtract, so that will guide your order of operations.

Also, it helps to enlarge the last row as much as possible because the man is not wearing trainers in row 2, but he is in row 4.

Let's try to agree on the value of each item, then we can attempt the calculations!

Good for the brainsmile

sharon103 Sun 29-Mar-20 15:51:45

My answer: 20
2 Trainers = 10
1 man=5
2 fingers? poles? =4

Answer:
1 trainer (5) + 1 man (5) 5+5 = 10, 10 x 1 pole (2)
10 x 2 equals 20.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 29-Mar-20 15:51:59

I passed civil service exam with flying colours what a joke!!

Isn’t that wrist straps older?

sharon103 Sun 29-Mar-20 15:54:27

I didn't look at the larger picture. Oh yes, he's wearing trainers and holding batons. Will start again. lol

Grannmarie Sun 29-Mar-20 15:56:31

Persevere!!!

sharon103 Sun 29-Mar-20 16:00:27

I now make it 48.

ValerieF Sun 29-Mar-20 16:01:51

My answer is 60 too

A shoe = 10
Boy = 5 -
Whatever the other is 4?

15 x 4 = 60

Sorry only on page one if anyone else has put this on page 2 my apologies

Marydoll Sun 29-Mar-20 16:03:26

(5+5) x 2 = 20

Marmight Sun 29-Mar-20 16:03:59

20

Whitewavemark2 Sun 29-Mar-20 16:04:33

Does anyone have the definitive answer?

Marydoll Sun 29-Mar-20 16:04:42

6 shoes = 30, so 1 shoe must equal 5
