Challenge of the day #2 (2 April) - 3 reasons to be cheerful today

My daughter's friend has safely had her baby.
The sun is out.
Not in work for a while.

I got back to the UK 2 weeks ago today when we could have been stuck in Australia
Enjoying Pilates online
Nice spring flowers out , birds nest building and tadpoles growing in the pond

Daily videos of my toddler grandchildren doing their daily yoga being able to watch my baby grandson having his bath via WhatsApp, and all the photos my lovely family are sending us of their daily life

DH and I are in good health, as are our sons and their families.
I have just managed to access my supermarket online shop and add to it, hoping for a delivery next week.
Meantime, the weather is fine and we are enjoying our daily walks.

You don’t have to see relatives whom you only see out of duty
You have time to learn new skills
You can indulge in pastimes without feeling guilty

I have just spoken with my granddaughter's who is 11 today

I managed a fast 10k on my exercise bike, while doing it was amazed to see a sparrowhawk zoom towards the window and swerve away at the last minute, amazing.

My cough has eased.

Family are ok
We have food
With modern technology we can see our badly missed GC .

All alive and well
Went for a lovely long walk first thing
Delivered some books and colouring stuff to DIL and saw GDs from a distance.

Family all well.

The sun is shining.

I'm spring cleaning.

1, Those I love are safe and well.
2, My dogs make me endlessly happy.
3, My "books to read" pile is lowering!

Hi all, this is my first post after years of lurking.....
- DD just sent me a photo of my DGD's in their first online live exercise class. Like others, I'm really
missing the physical contact.
- DH is up and on the move for the first time this
week after a nasty infection.
- DS2 is shopping for us this evening (will be
interesting to see what 'substitutions' he chooses!)
Thanks for this thread, it's really cheered me up. I tend to be a glass half empty type who rarely spends a full day at home but am slowly adapting to this strange new world.

Had a video clip of our GGS wearing the Tiger Beanie hat that I crocheted for him.

My neighbour got me some eggs and bin liners, ( no bread flour) ?

Have made a Malt Loaf, thanks NannyJan for the recipe, and it is cooling.

1) A spin dryer arriving today, as my washing machine has
died a death. Spinning out towels and duvet covers will
now be a relief.
2) Getting stuck into my new stash of paperbacks.
3) Hand feeding my beautiful blackbirds.

I'm having time just to listen to my own needs - eat when I like, sleep when I like, speak when i like

I'm having time to experiment with my art rather than have to 'make' something someone else likes

I'm enjoying the courtesy of other daily exercisers who have stopped 'cutting me up' on the pavement because they are no longer on their phones

2. Had a group chat with the neighbours by leaning out our bedroom windows. All are well
3. Sun is shinning and I am going out to do my exercise on my bike.

My coffee machine arrived today ....I bought it with the money I'll save on my daily Costa coffee?
