My daughter has just dropped off - at a safe distance- a box of lovely fresh veg from a local firm. I’m really impressed. In it are
1 avocado
4 bananas
1 swede
1 pineapple
2 brown onions
1 red onion
1 orange
2 satsumas
1 red and 1 green pepper
1 red and 1 green apple
1 huge lemon
2limes
1 white cabbage
1 cauliflower
1 leek
1x 500g broccoli
3 salad tomatoes
2 parsnips
1 punnet of strawberries
1 punnet of raspberries
1punnet of red grapes
1 pear and another apple
3 plums
6 medium potatoes
1 lettuce
1 cucumber
The freshness and quality are very good and I am thrilled to have received this box of healthy food. It cost £20 and I’m happy with that.

The video after was of Prince at his most raunchy smile

I had such a laugh with my family on houseparty tonight. I did a quiz and we were crying with laughter. Just what I needed tonight.

Listening to CrowdScience on the BBC.

Hearing LOUD and quite intrusive music from over the fence but then realising I was actually enjoying the song grin

Having a finger of Kit-Kat with a cup of green tea.

Being invited to a virtual birthday party for a friend (80) isolated in her Australian home.

Discovering 92 people read my Lockdown Diaries blog yesterday!

Seeing a wonderful video on Twitter which showed NZ.
I'm not sure how to share but it was posted by @Auckland_NZ
and also at twitter.com/Auckland_NZ

And finally, this MP3 of the Dawn Chorus:

Found that my local bakery had a new supply of all types of flour. Bought one bag for myself and one for DD1. Tried to pay for it with my contactless card and it was declined! Tried again by inserting it with PIN number and it was accepted. What a relief!

SirChenjin, you broke the rules by forming a crowd of 3? grin . Should have kept walking perhaps? I have been guilty of doing the same when out walking until I was made aware.

Having broken my arm at the shoulder in October, I have been forced to rely on step in stretch bras. They give little or no support - by mid afternoon my boobs were resting on my tummy (not a good look).

Now, thanks to physiotherapy, I am able to reach my damaged arm round my back, so, today, I decided to wear my black lace underwired bra. Was well pleased when I managed with a struggle and some pain to do it up at the back. Triumph! (deliberate pun). I rushed to the mirror to see my new, perky silhouette, only to realise that the bra is on inside out. Tough - no one will know........ except you lot! Ssh don't tell anybody.

I managed to have a short walk despite my very sore knee.
DD rang and we had a lovely long chat and she managed to off load some of her frustrations of NHS work, and sadness at her colleague losing her husband this week.
A volunteer friend, she is 93, rang to see how we were.
Sitting in the sun, again, and seeing a little blue butterfly.
The beautiful clear, high blue sky.

Receiving some plant cuttings and a lovely Easter card left in the porch by a friend. Our neighbour also giving us a plant for the garden. Speaking to family and friends on the phone and wishing each other a Happy Easter.

gulligranny Sat 11-Apr-20 17:14:51

A beautiful bouquet delivered from my lovely DH to wish me a happy Easter and to thank me for looking after him so well during our self-isolation. I cried, of course ...

Having a family get-together (via Zoom of course!) for our younger grandson's birthday. Everyone looked happy!
Managed to cut OH's hair after watching a few YouTube tutorials. It doesn't look too bad at all for a first attempt.
Waiting for a supermarket delivery anytime now.
The sun is shining!

Seeing some flower seeds I saved from last year poking through in the seed tray in my conservatory.
Seeing the first flush of a cereal crop coming through in the field at the side of our house. There’s something very satisfying in seeing a crop from first sowing to harvest.
Listening to our neighbour’s two year old playing in his garden.

Getting a video call from my DGS2 to tell me he will bring me some compost and a dozen trays of bedding plants and trailing plants so I can spend next week putting together my hanging baskets and tubs he is such a thoughtful boy.

My DH coming back from A&E when I thought they might keep him in.

Baggs Sat 11-Apr-20 18:29:48

Daisies, dandelions, wild cherry blossom, and the first visible shoots of northern marsh orchids, all in my garden.

EllanVannin Sat 11-Apr-20 18:44:13

D phoning me from her car parked outside to give me an Easter egg----and some money too. I kept my distance sad difficult.
At least I was able to pass her GGS's birthday card and present and a turkey which I'd kept from Christmas for use at Easter.

D begins her furloughing next Tuesday so she can continue her work on the house with the help from the children. I was just glad that everyone was okay, a worrying time.

MissAdventure Sat 11-Apr-20 19:38:11

I suddenly remembered a huge load of washing that I'd left on the line and was despairing at having to sort it all out if it had got damp.

When I got out there the line was empty, but much as it made me happy, I'm now worried someone has 'alf inched it.

Maggiemaybe Sat 11-Apr-20 19:53:12

Oh, hope you find it, MissA. shock

Seeing the DGS run around like carefree puppies on their Zoom egg hunt, loving every minute.

Getting a 7 second video of my precious DGS5. One second for every day of his life so far.

GagaJo Sat 11-Apr-20 19:57:39

Watching my perfect GS just after he'd fallen asleep. Immediately before he fell asleep he looked at me and said 'Cuggle'.

maddyone Sat 11-Apr-20 20:00:43

Awww Gaga couldn’t you just eat them, they’re so gorgeous.
My best moment today, FaceTime with our grandchildren.

Auntieflo Sat 11-Apr-20 20:04:42

MissAdventure, I hope you find your missing laundry, and that it comes back all ironed.?

MissAdventure Sat 11-Apr-20 20:47:15

Ha! smile

Thank you. I think I had just been unexpectedly organised and got it off the line yesterday.

All my boys clothes look the same to me!

TerriBull Sat 11-Apr-20 20:55:36

Family quiz via "Zoom", we were on the losing side, but fun nevertheless and good to see everyone, after a few weeks now, in their respective self isolation quarters.
