Good Morning Everyone,
I am up early again, its starting to get light, and what looks like the start of a nice warm day.
Yesterday, I visited the local Wairose , in the que in front people I actually Knew , so had some conversation.
What was amusing one person, who does seem to understand the rules , had been talking and when the doors opened and people started, he thought he could walk in behind us , but the security told him the back of the que is down there , which he did not like.
having had my prescriptions delivered by one of the managers , today would have seen getting the chemist que to get them.
Maybe a small walk this morning around the block so to speak for about 10 minutes or so , bit of climbing in it as well.
Mick

Good morning from a dry but not yet sunny NE.
Spent the day watching Spooks and doing crossword puzzles.
Last night we watched To catch a thief starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, I did enjoy it and seeing the south of France made me feel as if I had been away for the weekend.
Nothing planned for today but hope to put my nose out of the door for some fresh air.

Good morning Mick and all, it's a pleasant morning here in Glasgow.

A gentle start to the day and a change in routine since my lockdown. No more early starts, rushing to hospital appointments, DH has been bringing me a cuppa in bed and I can ease myself into the day.
I will miss this lockdown when it ends. ?

We had a delivery from Iceland yesterday, a lovely young man, whose own mother is in also lockdown. It was nice to see a different face.
However, I forgot to put milk on the list and there were no eggs. ☹️ Thankfully my friend across the road picked up some.
We are living like royalty. I have a delivery coming from an online butcher I used years ago, so it's steak and chips tonight!!
It's quite expensive and I wouldn't normally be that extravagant, but we are living in unusual circumstances.

I plan to potter in the garden, despite really bad hay fever, as my walk down the wooded lane behind my home, early in the morning has stopped. I've discovered, two of my neighbours are recovering from Covid 19 and are having secret sorties out at night, for some air.?
The lady's mum, my friend, who is 76 is trying to support them. I'm very concerned about her, as she should be staying in.☹️

Urmstongran, you sound a bit more upbeat today. Enjoy the sunshine, it will help boost your immune system.
I too hope, Pantglas is ok. It's worrying when our virtual friends disappear, especially in the present circumstances.
Gilly, there is a new maths puzzle available, but no misbehaviour today! ?
Grammaretto, I hope there is some improvement in your face.
GrannyGravy, thank you for your kind words. I'm as well as I can be, apart from a hacking cough, which DH is convinced is coronavirus, I know, it is an asthma flare up, caused by tree pollen! ☹️

Welcome to all the newbies and for anyone I have forgotten who is struggling, ?
Take care everyone, have the best day you can.

Good morning from a brighter and much warmer Cheshire. Still have lots of jobs to do and made a start on tidying the loft yesterday. Our youngest son has asked for his books that have been stored up there since he moved into his own house; he is putting up some shelves and will have space for them. Well, I found 8 boxes of them! I think he will have to have a sort out, because none of them are going back up there ? We have been looking at garden furniture online; we bought some last year, but could do with another small set in a corner that gets sunshine earlier in the day, just hope we get a decent summer to be able to enjoy it. It was said on the news yesterday, that the good weather this weekend might encourage people to go out more; just hope that everyone remains sensible and doesn't take any risks, we've come this far and hopefully if we carry on self isolating, will reach our peak of infection very soon. Goodness knows what all this isolation is doing to people's mental health, the sooner we can socialise safely the better. Take care.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a beautiful East London . Each morning I have to think hard as to what day it is . Think I did too much heavy lifting and moving of pots in the garden yesterday as hip is painful this morning . But so much to do without any help from DS or DsiL . There was a lot of discussion on a Facebook group about wanting to close the car parks in our local forests. I feel so sorry for young families in our high rise flats . Not everyone has a garden , surely a short drive locally to allow the children to run free and climb in our forest away from crowds, is better than walking the streets or cooped up at home .

A very good morning to you all. DH has just done his weekly paper round for us and neighbours. He doesn’t usually get up until I wake him at 9 or 10 but is taking his ‘job’ seriously and was up at 7.30. No one around so he popped In to co op and got sugar and dog food. We needn’t shop now for a couple of weeks?. Very misty here on the Suffolk coast. I hope it clears and we have the day thats promised. Sometimes the sea mist doesn’t clear and when we go inland a mile or so, it’s brilliant sunshine. Have lovely weekend everyone. ??☀️

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire.
Weather looks like it will be good today. I will go on a bike ride with the pooch shortly.
I hope even keeps to the rules this weekend.
I was trying to stay in bed for a few hours today, but it was hard to just lie there awake, I don’t know how my DH does it!!!
Take care everyone and stay safe ❤️

Good morning everyone from a sunny Essex by the sea. It was very misty earlier and I could hear the fog horns from boats out in the estuary.
We will go out later for our walk along the sea wall. I do hope the seafront at Southend is not full of idiots this weekend. A lot of car parks around here have been closed and there are noticeably less people about.
Will have video calls to my daughters and granddaughters some time over the weekend, chaos as everyone tries to speak at once.
Have the best day you can and stay safe xx

Good Morning from a lovely bright Fife, sun makes you feel so much happier. Have a Sainsburys order to collet this morning so will replenish cupboards/freezer. Have some cooking to do with newly bought food stuffs so looking forward to making Claridges Chicken Pie. Will hopefully get back into garden for a short while. Nice to hear everyone sounding quite upbeat this morning despite all our troubles and I know some have much more than me. I am keeping everything crossed that this weekend's weather is beneficial to us all by lifting spirits but I am hoping that everyone stays at home rather than taking risks to go out. Thinking of everyone today, take care and stay safe flowers

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Good Lord, is it Saturday already? Who knew? The sun is shining in South Yorkshire and, like many, we face another day of not being able to go out. I was very down yesterday, but we spent the afternoon gardening and both felt better for it. That, however, has sorted all but maintenance out now. A sedentary day today, reading, playing Scrabble online with GS and his folks, and trying to stop my feet from carrying me out the door and across the fields!! Whatever you are doing today, stay safe, all!

Nana3 Sat 04-Apr-20 08:47:22

Good morning everyone. I'm going to walk to the supermarket as the sun is out, hoping they have some flour. That will be my exercise today as we're only supposed to go out once I'm thinking.
Stay well.

Good morning all from a very bright and sunny Northampton. Think I will go out and trim the edges of the front grass this afternoon, and then sit in the sunshine with a drink and my kindle. I will also have the cats out with me.

I did my first Joe Wickes Exercises for Seniors yesterday morning, just 10 minutes and it is very doable and even enjoyable; 10 minutes just flies by. It is the same exercises every day. I also did my online ballet class as well, just repeating lesson one until lesson two next Wednesday.

DS dropped off my prescription yesterday morning, and also a lovely bunch of flowers on our anniversary. Had a long chat through the glass in the front door. He is well and still commuting to London most days as he is a key worker in the police. He says he has the train and underground to himself.

News from the cruise company yesterday - I told them that I did not really want to travel this year even if it became 'safe' to do so; they will not transfer my deposit to a cruise next year, so looks like I will cancel and lose my deposit. DS thought that is what I should do especially as I am not keen. Will seek DD's thoughts on the matter as well. Still have three weeks before the balance needs to be paid. Rather lose a small amount than the whole cost.

I drowned my sorrows in half a bottle of Prosecco, while celebrating the years that DH and I had together - we met in 1969, married in 1972, 46 years married. Happy memories.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

Good morning from Birmingham where it is a lovely sunny morning. It’s my last day of quarantine, and I’m so looking forward to being able to go for a walk in the park on my doorstep tomorrow. Today I will have a potter on my balcony.
I have a very small chicken- more of a chick, really- to roast today with some roast potatoes and spring greens. Food is really important these days, isn’t it? I think I may make some scones for tea this afternoon.
Have as good a day as possible, everyone!

Marydoll Sat 04-Apr-20 08:55:09

Busbybag, another Fifer*! You could start your own Fife meet up, there are so many of you!!
Oh, hang on a minute, you can't at the moment! ?
Welcome to the thread!

Pantglas, glad to see you are well.?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 04-Apr-20 08:55:30

Gillybob I have just seen your post regarding your DS, I am so sorry, you and your family really do seem to have more than your share of troubles at the moment flowers

Good morning all, a bit cloudy here in Bristol hopefully the sun will come out later.

I got a food deliver yesterday so that's us sorted for about 2 weeks , it amazing really how exciting it is and I am expecting a parcel in the post for my favourite Marshals Macaroni I found it on line, we cant get it in Bristol.

I hope everyone has a peaceful day.

MawB Sat 04-Apr-20 09:02:53

Good morning all from what looks like the Costa North Bucks ???
At this rate I’ll have to get the hose out.
A sunny weekend means the garden for me today and probably tomorrow although whether it’s “heads down tails up” weeding the border or a ?on the patio remains to be seen.
Sorry to year about your cramps GabriellaG. I sometimes get excruciating cramps usually in the middle of the night, up the inner thigh which can leave me in pain even hours after the cramp has subsided. I can usually spot a pattern afterwards, and it is often down to dehydration (or wine with dinner) I find a handful of Magnesium tablets (the medically technical dose!) washed down with a pint glass of water before bed or when it kicks in can help.
Hope those who want to can get out and about - you can walk for longer than 10 minutes if you feel up to it Mick - Hattie usually expects an hour.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day!

Good morning from a sunny Market Harborough. Another day of isolation. Sending love and hugs to all who are suffering illness or depressed or just fedup. Xx

Pittcity Sat 04-Apr-20 09:08:15

Good morning from sunny Colchester. We will be sitting in our garden today.
DH is trying to negotiate B&Q click and collect as our downstairs loo needs repair. There is already a lot of swearing. I shall put my earphones in when he actually starts the repair. DIY is not his thing but he is bored!

EllanVannin Sat 04-Apr-20 09:08:16

Good Morning All. x
Cloudy but bright cool first thing as it's never as warm as it is further South but not complaining because it's light for longer now which is a bonus under these conditions.

I must hurtle to the corner shop after as I need milk and cat food top-up.
I got a bit wobbly last night but practised some deep breathing by the bedroom window. I can't afford to get worked up as it triggers an A/Fib episode which lands me in hospital and I certainly don't want that ! Pull yourself together girl.

I watched a driver's eye view of a tram-ride in Sydney on you tube yesterday and it's great. The tram system opened last year so haven't physically experienced it. I felt as though I was travelling on it, fab and it takes your mind off " things " for a while.

A nice beef stew today so I can leave it to do for a few hours, then stewed apples and custard so that's me sorted for today.
I've also nearly demolished a pkt of dark choc digestives in between, so that calls for another pack-----it's the boredom.

Tulips are still going strong from Mothers Day but if I move the vase I fear there'll be a shower of petals everywhere so I'll leave them established on the hearth.

Everyone seems to be doing alright here so far ? I feel for those in flats with children and no garden it must be very trying, poor things. Tempting as it is to escape all this as the weather improves it's not worth it for everyone's sakes.

Hoping everyone stays safe and well and GabriellaG54 try some tonic water- Schweppes as it contains quinine which may settle any further cramps---worth a try.
Stay safe and well everyone xx

Good Morning from Fife, I see we have another "Fifer' here - Welcome. It's bright out at the moment but fear we may get some clouds soon. Had an interrupted sleep last night for some reason, just don't think I am doing enough during the day however hard I try. Another day of pottering, Marydoll enjoyed your puzzles yesterday, thanks for keeping us all on our toes. Missing family so much but get videos most days so that's helping a lot. I'm sure we all feel the same. Hoping everyone is looking after themselves. Keep safe.

Urmstongran Sat 04-Apr-20 09:20:18

Hi EV I LOVE the idea of going on a virtual tram ride around Sydney. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing.

Shout out to you Pantglas ? glad you’re okay over there!

gillybob you must be living on your nerves right now. ?

Good morning from the Shropshire borders.
Feeling very upset.DGS aged six months has developed allergies to most things, has had an emergency referral to paediatric dietician, all consultations done by phone and email.Overnight he has even had a bad reaction to breast milk.So worried.

conor Sat 04-Apr-20 09:27:24

Good morning from sunny Essex. No Joe Wicks work out to get me going today so will just have to have another cup of tea and read all the previous posts at my leisure!
Had a walk yesterday and it was so quiet out there. It was like walking through a science fiction film where you are the last person in the world. I didn't see one person or car!
Iceland food delivery last night so I should be OK for a while and hoping to do some gardening as it looks so nice today. Spoke to DGS1 on the phone last night and he is planning our next day out in London, as always happens in the school holidays. I love the optimism of youth.
Wishing everyone some warmth from the sun today xxx

It is worrying Susan. In the 60's I had this problem initially and was advised to get SMA formula ( 1 ) It might be worth a try as it's a diet like formula which helps.
My D at the time was a small baby and throwing up feeds was a challenge and reducing her weight but the SMA helped enormously and even in the 60's it was expensive but it didn't matter.
