Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight here in Brackley looks a bit grey above ,with overnight rain.
Into week 3 of lockdown, apart from having some walking, and getting food from Supermarket.
Starting to miss my Tuesday routine as well, but hopefully a brighter future of being able to do those things again lays ahead but when??

Good morning Mick and the GM team, from sunny east London.

Food delivery came yesterday and was only missing some of the cat food and a couple of bottles of wine. So we are very pleased about that.
We managed to secure a couple of delivery dates for groceries later in the month, as priority slots were finally available to me.

Like virtually every other GN, I will change the bed linen today and wash the cushion covers, as it appears we can get them out on the line to dry.

Good thoughts to those in Sick Bay and any wobblers (amongst whom I count myself, occasionally).
Still quoting Sgt Phil from Hill Street Blues ...’Lets be careful out there’. ?

Good morning from a calm and bright NE.
DH went shopping at 6.30 last night, no queue and plenty on the shelves, we have enough to see us through until the middle of next week.
What I found reassuring was that DH said all the same staff are still working so hopefully they are keeping well.
Messaged DS last night and he says he is working nine hours a day in his home office, he writes educational computer programmes and is producing software so that children can continue their education from home. The deadline is very tight because of the present situation.
GD sent a photo of her doll with a new dress she made with mummy. DIL has never really had the time to play with the children as she has always worked so I think she will enjoy dressmaking with the youngest.
Changed my prescription pharmacy to a small shop down the road from us, we normally went to the health centre pharmacy but they were taking ten days to process the repeats. To collect prescriptions you had to queue round the car park which is adjacent to the hospital and a through road for patients.
Hope everyone has the best day they can and BJ starts to show improvement.

Good morning to you all from a sunny and warm Gower.
I understand where you are coming from Mick, it's the when that can make things seem so much harder. You are handling it a bit better though and that's a positive.
Pantglas I know it's not the same as giving your daughter a hug but enjoy your cocktail 'together'. I hope your friend's grandson will be okay, it must be a dreadful worry for her and the family.
Had a bit of a hiccup with the volunteer who picked up my meds yesterday. She went to collect in the morning, saw the queue was huge and gave up. She went back in the afternoon, gave the pharmacist the wrong address for me so they had to ring and then she got lost and rang to get directions. In the end my WP had to go out into the street, keep directing her and wait until he saw the car coming. Not exactly isolating!
I also think I might have overdone it yesterday since I had 2 small seizures. A more relaxed day for me today I think.
Stay safe everyone, be kind to yourselves ❤️

Good morning to you all from West Wales. The weather here is beautiful and the birds are singing. I will be working my dog on the (almost) deserted beach this afternoon. This is my daily allocated exercise. It's not a 'bucket and spade' beach so as yet is not out of bounds. The few folk I see are all dog walkers keeping the allocated distance. The walk is keeping me sane.

I have a new experience today...a telemedicine visit with my doctor. Can't wait to see how that goes. I guess I have to get motivated and dress the part. I am getting incredibly lax about making an effort to dress like usual.

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a bright start to whatever day it is today.

I was up early pulling the oven out ready for the gas fitter to fix the gas supply to my hob. I thought I’d make it easier for him . Got it all pulled out (a right struggle it was too) only to get a text 15 minutes ago to say he can’t come today ! So that’s me back to square one then. I know worse things happen, of course they do, but it’s so annoying .

I too was really upset to hear that BJ had been moved to intensive care . It’s so bloody frightening this awful virus. I hope and pray he recovers, poor man.

So sorry to hear that your friends grandson is also very poorly Pantglas. I sincerely hope he pulls through. Its like we are all in a living nightmare .

Well done on the new job Scentia a very good decision . I am seriously considering doing something similar but worry about looking after my DH who isn’t quite fully recovered yet.

I remember you telling us about that little bird last year Urmston I would be the same. I love to hear them and see them at a distance but not sure about picking one up.

I hope your DH is okay Grammaretto I can understand you being worried but could it be that they have a last minute appointment ? I know they hate wasting valuable scan time.

Well I’m gonna have to try and get that damned oven back in somehow.

Take care everyone . I’ll pop back in a bit to catch up .

Love Gillybob x

Woke myself up crying after a horrid dream about all this. Must have been hearing about poor Boris just before bed. I’m not a crier (usually) and haven’t had any wobbles, but can’t get this dream out of my head. Hopefully the beautiful sunshine will work it’s magic. Bought some seeds yesterday - tom, dwarf beans, beetroot, carrots, spinach and mange tout. Fingers crossed they’ll thrive and produce some lovely veg. It’s something to look forward to and gives hope in these awful days. Grandaughter was due to take A levels next month but of course they’ve been cancelled. She heard yesterday from her choice of uni that she’s been accepted unconditionally, so she has now been accepted for all 3 uni’s that were on her list. She intends to go into mental health nursing, which is a demanding but rewarding course. So proud of her. We’ll all need a bit of mental health nursing after this. Have a peaceful day. ?

Good morning from a bright and sunny Birmingham. My days have settled into a routine based around food. Breakfast at 8 ish, followed by coffee and a biscuit at 10.45, then lunch at 1.30, followed by a walk, a cup of tea at 4, and dinner at 7. I will go for a walk in the afternoon, and spend some time on my balcony when the sun comes round around 4, and I have some ironing I should do. What a little life!
Best wishes to everyone.

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
Another cloudless sky in Suffolk, with the birds singing madly. Today we may start constructing raised vegetable beds and I have the chicken ham and a leek to make pie for tonight and tomorrow.
Hope today is kind to everyone.

Lins1066 Tue 07-Apr-20 08:15:50

Good Morning Mick and all. Sunny here on the S Welsh coast.
Like Sar I will make a tea loaf later, fruit has been soaking in tea and a little brandy overnight. Normally I would make a larger one and give half to our son.
DH spent much of the day in the garden yesterday and I pottered in the kitchen. I spent a lot of last year bed bound after an operation on my foot, so being in lockdown and just one walk a day isn't as bad for me as it is for so many. Hearing the birdsong and seeing the plants and blossoms is so heartening. Being unable to see our son and his partner and daughter is the worst thing, as so many are finding.
Relax today CherryCezzy, look after yourself.
Take care everyone ?

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Bad night last night worrying about Boris. I really hope he and others are okay. It really brings it home to you.

Book club tonight on Zoom which will be fun as it’s the first time I have used it.

Hope everyone stays safe.

Good Morning All x.
Wonderful red sunrise this morning I just stood looking and contemplating----and dreading switching the news on ! It's going to be " one of those days ", slightly wobbly.

So glad we're not in the middle of winter though as things would definitely feel 10 times worse.

Although D will be doing my big shop tomorrow, I do need bread and cat food so I'll have to dash to the corner shop. It'll have to be a card job as I've no cash on me with the bank being a distance away and no ATM's around with the post office closing. I don't like being without cash at all it makes me miserable.

Oh I am a moaning Minnie this morning so I'd better get on with something constructive today before depression sets in.
A good day for washing and I'll also hang my coat out in the air/sun as outside clothing attracts germs which live there for a while. Could do with a steam cleaner.

Must get washed and dressed and get myself moving now so hoping everyone's still keeping well with not too many wobbles xx

Sending strength and best wishes to Boris to fight the good fight. This next week will be crucial.

Good Morning to all from Fife. It's sunny out but as you would expect still a bit chilly. I have numerous things in my head to do today but whether or not they actually get done is , of course, another thing. There is quite a bit going on today for us all, some more than others. I hope we all rally through this dreadful time by keeping each other happy. Thinking of all those who have more pressing worries, we shall get through it. Take care everyone, be kind to each other and look after yourself.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton. Have got some washing in again, mainly towels. Must have been chilly as the heating kicked in. Didn't have it on at all yesterday and didn't miss it, so will turn the thermostat right down from now on.

Busy morning yesterday, general cleaning, washing, hoovering up and downstairs. Had a Sainsbury's delivery after lunch, so disinfected everything, left it to dry then put everything away. Have enough stuff in now for a couple of weeks.

No plans for today, just general pottering and the usual exercises and online ballet.

Shocked and sad to hear about Boris; hope he gets better soon.

Have a good day everyone, and stay safe.

Good morning all, (as usual) I wrote a very long post and lost it.
Wishing you a good day, I can't face doing it again.?

Good morning from a very sunny Cheshire. Just had some very sad news - my 92 year old Auntie (my mother's younger sister) died yesterday, she was in intensive care with corona virus. She did have underlying problems and obviously her body couldn't cope. She was a lovely, chirpy lady (very like my own mother) and I loved her to bits; we used to visit her often when we were children and I have some lovely memories of holidays with her and her family. It's sad enough that she has died, but to die alone, surrounded by all that equipment and staff in protective gear, must have been so frightening. I feel for her children, as the funeral will have to be a very quiet affair, with only her direct family present. So sad.

Good morning from a sunny Essex. Like many of you, I had an unsettled night after the news about Boris. This really doesn't discriminate and just hope he pulls through.
Window cleaner came yesterday. So pleased to see him even at social distancing! My garden looking good and moved 3 small plants yesterday. I like to have a Grand plan and hope it all comes together. Had to order a new umbrella for the patio set. The website said delays so hope it comes before Winter!
Workout today, then yoga and then Iceland delivery this afternoon.
Wishing everyone a peaceful day xxx

Good morning from Hampshire. Have a good day everyone. Cracking on with The Mirror and the Light. I found it was difficult to make sense of late at night, when I kept dropping off so now am giving it more respect.

Urmstongran Tue 07-Apr-20 08:45:41

Oh Marydoll! I know that scenario well.
PLEASE have another go?
Pretty please?
