When I was newly married all my knickers were stolen off the washing line! I was outraged and even went to the police (this was the 1970’s when they didn’t have much else to do ). They took careful notes and it transpired that there was a serial knicker nicker in our area, as other women had had the same unfortunate experience. ?

Talking of knickers, I know someone who came home to find her burly husband reclining on the bed in her underwear.
