Hello from a sunny but chilly Gloucestershire. My first post here. My tumble dryer is not working so am grateful to have good weather, even if the towels feel like sandpaper! The seeds have arrived and I am off to the greenhouse today to start planting. Love reading what other people are doing.

Glad the dietician has now got a plan in place for little Henry Susan. I sincerely hope that he starts to improve now, as my now very robust great nephew did.
I woke up late this morning, went downstairs and made a coffee and took it back upstairs and put it on the bedside cabinet. The next thing I knew the cup and contents were on the floor, I'd had another dratted seizure! Only now starting to feel a little bit better (two hours later). I haven't even had a shower and got dressed yet, so frustrating. I shouldn't moan really, there are people struggling with more difficulties than me. It's just that I feel so weary.

I am about to do a Pilates session, find something to cook in one of my many books, head into the garden to do some meditation then enjoy the sunshine before taking the elderly neighbours dog out this afternoon. I’m digging deep to stay calm and make the most of it. My working life will be insane upon my return to the frontline of government duties after this. Stay healthy and optimistic everyone x

Good morning all from a very sunny but cold North Somerset. Today I intend to some goods back to a shop. They are all ready to go but our local Post Office is in chaos, you just can't keep away from others. So I am going to drive 4 or 5 miles to the next town where they have a huge spacious post office and send it from there. I might go out on my bike later for a bit of exercise otherwise its a book in the garden if the kids next for aren't outside screaming at each other.

MawB exercising horses is allowed the same as dog walking.

I’m 72 today. Mixed feelings.
OurDD and family stuck in NZ zoomed early this morning. Bless them, DD had organised her brothers to join us, so we had a happy half hour. It was really lovely.
Other than that - supermarket, washing, cooking, the usual today.

Good morning from sunny but chilly Devon, still a cold wind here but I'm planning to get out in he garden today, housework will wait for a dull/wet day although my bedroom needs painting first, got to get my priorities right

Lots to keep me busy if I get the urge, otherwise I will take my time. I have the advantage of being retired for nearly 14 years (early retirement at 50 to look after DH, widow for 7 years).

I love my independence, no-one to worry about except cat, I even forgot to feed him the other morning , couldn't understand why he was pestering me, normally when I bring the milk in I pick up his bowl...Ooops

Good morning from a sunny Norfolk. Frosty summerhouse roof this morning but warming up nicely now.
Tesco delivery yesterday so nicely stocked up for a few days, dropped my mothers bits to her on her doorstep, she hasn't really grasped what is happening in the world and just keeps asking when will it all end, we have the same conversation everytime we talk, do others have the same with elderly parents?

DH attacking the wild weeds in the garden today while I potter and tidy.

Good morning Henri66 I think if you are shopping for essential food and that shop sells non-essentials as well, then it is ok to add something not essential to your shopping. What the Government want to stop is people making a special journey to a shop that only sells non-essentials.

MawB I am not going to argue with you, Horses needs are totally different to the family dog. Stables round our way are desperate for experienced trustworthy riders to exercise their Horses, due to owners being ill, some are key workers and therefore exhausted. There is far less chance of coming into contact with a human when mounted than dog walking or running.

The reason that horses need more exercise at this time of year is that the fresh grass is coming in so you cannot turn them out in fields as if they eat too much it can lead to laminitis. You cannot lock up a horse in its stable 23 hours a day, it causes physical and psychological problems.

One of my step-GGC is out every day on her horse. Very open land where she is, not a soul about. The horse will be wondering what's happened seeing her all day and every day and not at school. It's good for both.

We all exercise in different ways surely?
Some will go out for an hour or longer just once a day, but others who maybe are trying to build up their level of fitness will find that two 30 minutes sessions spread over the day works best for them.

Others simply just prefer to get out in the fresh air twice a day and that is fine too.

Sniping at others’ fitness regimes is not in the spirit of this thread.

Hi from Surrey.
Just back from Sainsburys. Queued all round car park & then onto pavement outside & round the block & then back to other side of car park.
Luckily a nice sunny morning. All very well organised & it took me only 1 h 10 mins to queue & do all my weekly shopping plus some for elderly neighbours.
Nice full fridge & freezer & DH has offered to cook again this week having made his first ever dish last week & it was very good. He did make so much that we had to eat it for 2 days but never mind.
My yoga class is being streamed by our teacher via PC onto my TV later this afternoon so all in all quite a nice day.
It is sunny but a bit chilly.

Late in from a frosty north. Lots of phone calls from early this morning. Quiet for days then they all come at once. Although there is a bitterly cold wind it is beautifully sunny and I will prepare the seed trays for whenever the seeds arrive. I had an email to explain the upsurge in purchases of vegetable seeds hence a two week delay in delivery. There are two family birthdays this week so we will have a tiny virtual party tonight. Welcome new people.
