Good morning all
I’m early this morning, thought I would try and get a delivery slot from supermarket for my weekly shop but still no go, I don’t know how people get them. Never mind back to plan B ie physically shopping myself.
Looks grey and damp this morning in Torbay, hope it brightens up later. Off to make a cup of tea. Have a good day all and keep safe.

Good Morning everyone from a cloudy, dull and wet Severnside. It’s a little misty too as I can hardly see the hill that DD lives behind.

Another day of pottering and try not to be as lazy as I was yesterday.

I did have a lovely FaceTime with DD and at the end she had me roaring with laughter at her antics.

Was wondering about going to the store but I’ll leave it as I don’t fancy standing around in a wet queue.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It's quite bright in Cheshire with a few grey clouds moving in from the south. Mustn't complain after the lovely weather we've been having. I stayed indoors most of yesterday as the tree pollen was affecting my eyes so much.

A walk in the woods first as I think the pollen may not be as bad today. There are some jobs need doing in the garden, but reluctant to order online and have unnecessary deliveries, so they can wait.

I will chat with DD and DGS later as we do every day. A WhatsApp pinged in as I was writing that!

I've got a new Philippa Gregory book to read and will make some scones for a little treat later with my sis's homemade jam.

Remember Captain Tom's saying- 'tomorrow will be a good day'. Bless him.

A grey miserable looking day in South Bucks.

It’s understandable Mick that the lockdown is getting to you. Like me you have a weekly routine and like getting out and about. This enforced staying in can be so frustrating, however if we stick to our guns and keep safe one day, I hope in the not too distant future, we will be released. Onward and upward.

DH has bought an all singing and dancing new telly. He spent all yesterday evening setting it up and has asked me to switch it on today and get all the apps working. Our old telly only had BBC IPlayer. I suspect I will be in front if the screen for many hours and a few choice words will be said by me so be warned ???

Good Morning all, very dull today so I am back in bed with the curtains open.
Yesterday I saw a bud on the magnolia looking as if it might open , so exciting , we didn’t think it was old enough to flower

Good morning from east London, well we’ve had rain overnight, one or two puddles spotted, and the dull sky indicates there may be more. I managed to allocate my tomato seedlings yesterday, now just waiting for the rest to be collected. When someone is on their way, I put them at the end of the path; interesting how many people are growing for the first time, especially when they have children and also how hard it’s been to get hold of seeds. I dry my own seeds now and they’ve worked fine so far. I did do a couple of drop offs as part of my walk plus popped into Aldi. Slow queue but bliss when I got in, not many people allowed in the shop and quick to pay. On line choir workshop this morning, not my local one, where the song we’re learning is a Chinese folk song. I am struggling with it. DP found all of DD’s recorder stuff yesterday so I’m going to return to my youth and have a go; it was my instrument in the orchestra at school. Had to take Dexter to the vet again yesterday. He has conjunctivitis and a large ulcer in his eye. They are not sure they can save it. He has a cone now which he is not happy about and I have to go back on Monday.

Good morning everyone from a dull but interesting start to the day. Think I had my evening meal too late last night felt the results throughout the night. Will be going back to my cosy bed in a second and continue to listen to the birds singing.

Good morning Mick and all his followers. I am having trouble typing as the cat needs stroking and won’t be refused!
We have had a little rain and I am hoping for some more today for the garden.
Tonight we are having a family quiz on Zoom which should be fun. Our round is on Dogs.

Wonderful news. My DD and family has finally managed to get home fromNZ. We won’t be able to see them, of course, but it’s nice to have them back.

Video call from DIL and GC last night, lovely to see them and hear about their week.
DH found a click and collect slot for a supermarket but when he tried to select foods everything we wanted was out of stock so we abandoned it.
Think I might watch Phantom of the opera today so I will decamp to the music room for a change of scenery.

Morning All

Very cold and grey here in the north of Norfolk this morning. And it’s nearly raining. We’ve only had a couple of very brief showers this month and the garden is very dry.

I didn’t manage to stop our Government food parcel in time and one landed on the doorstep yesterday. They’re really quite good so we’ll take a few bits out and put the rest to one side for the local food bank. Lots of potatoes and carrots though. Greengrocers order is coming today - and includes carrots.

Today I shall be making carrot cake.

Interesting to hear about your new tv kate. We were investigating a new one when the lockdown started and DH is convinced that the prices will fall soon so is keeping an eye on them. I think prices wont fall because lots of people will be staying in with little else to do. We'll see.

We intend to watch Phantom of the Opera this afternoon.

Morning all from a dry and grey north Wales - first one for some time, perhaps I’ve swapped with Urmstongran and she’ll be having some sun!

I’m sitting with my chamberpot of tea eating the virtual banoffee pie which I was kindly sent....delish! I shall be making a pear crumble (I’m off apples for some reason) to pop in the oven along with a lasagna later, let me know if anyone wants a spoonful or ten!

Didn’t enjoy my food fetch yesterday- watching like a hawk, wiping like a dervish as I was trotting round and washing like a dobi wallah when I made it home! I’m quite happy here in the nest - it’s the flying out for food that scares me!

It is grey and overcast here in S E Essex, light breeze and drop in temperature. It is the weekend, no plans, cannot do anything or go anywhere I think I shall do some ironing??

Morning all. I heard rain in the night and although it’s stopped now, it looks grey and threatening, here on the Suffolk coast. DH will be getting up soon ( he’s usually in bed til I wake him about 9.) saturdays is his usual paper round for us and neighbours. We managed to get some masks from Amazon so I will encourage him to wear one, but it looks unlikely. Had a lovely walk over the common yesterday and didn’t see a solitary soul. It seemed as if we were the only people left on this earth. ?. Saturdays are the usual day we have the runners arrive along the beach for their 5k run. I love to see them in their brightly coloured running outfits, warming up and ready for the off. It’s strange the little things you miss. I’ve had some lovely e mails from members of the Bridge club, newsy and funny. It’s nice to find out what everyone’s up to. Like this GN thread . It keeps you connected to people. Hope you e got some sunshine today Urmstongran , as it’s certainly not here. And granMattie , I can feel your relief that your DD and family are home. Keep well everyone and have a cosy day. ?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. It is wet and windy here. My leg is easing quite a bit now and I can hobble about a bit today, I will try my bike later with the dog so she can at least get out the house for a bit. We will see if I can manage it!!!

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow.

Just waiting for DD to come with an early morning Click and Collect she managed to secure from Tesco. Between that and the Iceland frozen delivery we got last night, we should be fine. I always cooked from scratch, but DH is enjoying almost gourmet style meals, as I have all the time in the world to cook. .
My neighbours were delighted with the Iceland delivery, as I had ordered items for them. One neighbour was craving brussel sprouts! ?

My friend was telling me yesterday that the police were going down the Morrisons queue, asking people where they came from and fined a woman £40 because she lived in our town and hadn't gone to the local Asda. thought it was unreasonable, as most of shop in Morrisons, which is only ten minutes away and the Asda in our town is the same distance, but is very small and people don't follow the distancing rules.
We all shop in Morrison's, because it has a petrol station etc and is huge.

I'm having a chilling day, yesterday seemed to fly by. I cooked and baked and wasted spent a lot of time with nothing to show for it.
I did make chocolate macaroon bars, so my neighbours will have something for their morning coffee. DH, ever the perfectionist, complained there wasn't enough vanilla essence. Doesn't he realise this is a time of rationing, we all have to make sacrifices and I'm sacrificing his vanilla essence.

She does know, you all care for her.
Could I also say Good Morning to Brunette, who always posted. After a rotten time on a thread she started, she has decided not to post on GN. A nicer lady, you couldn't meet. Hopefully she will come back to the safe haven of the Good Morning, thread, where kindness abounds.
I also notice, Annsixty, hasn't been about, I hope she is OK.
