Good Morning Everyone,
Yet another bright start to the morning here in Brackley .
My day today , BBC Breakfast on TV after Breakfast , break , Daily Kitchen Live , break , Bargain Hunt, Lunch , have a nap , maybe computer , watch the daily update on BBC at 430 after tea, then settle down with News, BBC4 tonight.
Mick
And it’ll be well deserved!
Bottoms indeed, Urmston
I'm sure it'll be bottoms-up when the children have gone to bed.
Urmston, yes, a trying time to say the least----but you know what ? We will get there eventually, we can still smile through it all. x We're a strong family.
That’s good EV especially as your daughter probably needs more space right now for all them bottoms!
?
At least one good thing made D happy today, she'd phoned to have a new TV aerial fitted and the kindly gentleman suggested she have the TV fitted above the fireplace, which he did ( extra cash for him ) and she's thrilled because it's a large screen, so it's freed up some space in her living room for an extra armchair.
I was so happy for her at such a small thing really because I know the job would have been done properly being an aerial fitter.
Oh poor boy EV I do hope his toothache ache eases and he gets a good night’s sleep. This must be awful for him and your daughter. As you say - what an annus horribilus (so far) for your family & gillybob.
Surely things can only get better? x
Thank you ladies, x I've just seen all your suggestions and rang D before . Apparently she'd already rang 111 and they told her to ring the emergency dentist which she did and after an hour hanging on the line she gave up.
She then rang the GP who in turn gave her a couple of numbers to ring---to no avail as there's a huge backlog of patients waiting to see dentists.
Anyway, after the continual Calpol and various " dabbing things " his toothache eased. What it is, is a tooth coming through and pushing a milk tooth out and this is where the pain is so it's one of his molars that's giving the trouble.
D's hoping and praying it settles down. He's her GS who's been in her care with the twins since before the lockdown when their father took ill and died. ( my GGS )
This year, like Gillybob's as been 'orrible so far
I too send good wishes to CherryCezzy, Scentia, Gillybob, Marydoll and all GNers who are feeling the weight of this lockdown. I realise that it's hard for some of you.
Take care ???
I rang Thames Water at 12.55 about a loose drain cover on my property which moves easily and is a trip hazard as it rises out of the ground, not flush.
A phone call just now from a man outside who is taking photos to send to engineers who will then know who to send later from a different depot.
Great customer service.
Also had a lady who is bringing me more rhubarb and strawberry plants as she bought too much for her needs.
How nice is that. She lives about 6 miles away so extra good of her.
I like lockdown...? Everyone is sooo helpful.
cherry, hope you are ok and feel better as the time goes on!
cherry that sounds serious. Hope you are ok
Ah right Scentia thanks for explaining it.
?
Hope your first day goes well. Which I’m sure is a big ask, considering what’s going on.
Oh Cherry?hope you feel better as the day goes on.x?
Hello all from the Gower. Sorry haven't read any messages today so I hope everyone is doing okay.
I had. To have "rescue medication" this morning because of a prolonged seizure so that's why I haven't read.
Happy St George's Day to all the English GN's and/or their DH's or partner's and their English family members.
Have as good a day as you can everyone ❤️
Hope your daughter can get a dental appointment sorted Ellan, poor little fellow. If she has any children’s nurofen she could try that, alternate with doses of paracetamol.
Hope Mary is ok,thank you for messaging her gilly.x
Good morning. Sitting in the sun with brunch. The daffodils are glowing. Best wishes to all.
Morning all,
Its another nice day. Just been outside planting some seeds into a pair of old work boots, just to add a bit of fun to the garden later. Not sure if they’ll germinate as I’ve had them a while (forgot about them), but there’s nothing to lose in trying.
Just found some delphinium seeds sent to me last year, so will have a go at starting them off in the greenhouse, but might have left things a bit late. We’ll see.
Had my Pilates session this morning via zoom. I think it’s the quickest hour of the day! Always look forward to it.
Not read through all the posts yet, so hope you are all ok today. Keep safe.
Morning from a sunny Yorkshire bad night last night I think I was too warm .hugs to those feeling low today .keep safe !
Good morning all, just made it in time, I've been busy moving stuff around in my bedroom ready for paintint wall no2. Hoovered round.
I've been out in the garden painting fence panels, hard work as it's uneven ground to stand on & bending which is causing me a lot of hip pain. Now I've had a brew it's back to fence painting. Planning a relaxing afternoon in the garden.
I'm off to see Podiatrist tomorrow at local Hospital, they are a little concerned about my left foot (Diabetic Type 2) so it's classified as essential appointment.
Thinking of all & their loved ones who have health issues
Hope every-one has a good day, I should be back on here on Saturday
. Hope this nice weather lasts over the weekend
Urms
You just sign the 48hr directive, that’s what all the hospital doctors sign as they do it regularly.
Thank you Kalu. It was just something stupid I forgot to do and I completely lost it . People were giving me the weirdest looks and I felt so stupid when I pulled myself together.
Just looked up "child with severe toothache during lockdown" and the advice is to dial 111. There has to be some emergency dentists open , surely like other medics they can wear protective equipment. In fact they do anyway don't they?
Good morning Michael12 - made a big effort to post in the morning. I log in to the GM thread every morning but somehow get a bit distracted doing bits and bobs and it's lunchtime before I know it. It is another beautiful sunny day up here in the Highlands - quite often is this time of year and then it goes downhill especially last summer. I did my weekly shop yesterday and it was good not to have to fill up with petrol. It's the cheapest it has been for years and I haven't topped up since mid March. I tend not to use the car much anyway as I always walk to town but I'm not doing that walk as it is like High Street used to be on a Saturday at the moment with whole families picnicking, mini football going on and dog walkers. A lot of protests at the litter and dog fouling so quite happy to give it a miss and just have a short walk more local and spend the rest of the day in the garden. When we stayed over in Spain St George's Day was quite a big event for the ex-pats Urstongran - usually in blazing sunshine! Hopefully it will be nice there on Sunday for the emergence from lockdown for the families with children. Hope everyone's day is okay for them.
I’m worried about Marydoll too Pantglas I’ve sent her a PM . Not to be a pest but just to check she’s okay
To leave a child in constant pain is disgraceful EV hearing that every source you DD has contacted are unwilling to help and leave a child in pain is unforgivable ? I only hope your DD’s GP has a solution for that poor wee boy?
