First impressions

Yes they are.

I was fifteen.He was on leave while on national service.
Who can resist a man in uniform.? We were married for fifty four years.

I saw him across the room and I knew....that was 52 years ago. Still together

Gorgeous. I think I’ll marry him. And I did and I was right!

I was very cynical, even at the great age of 23, and didn't believe in love at first sight. Then he smiled at me and that was that. It's our 43rd wedding anniversary this week.

I thought he was a nice enough person but definitely not my type. He used to cut my grass. Not to be put off by my disinterest, he was apparently putting fertiliser on my lawn so that I had to ring him to come more frequently . His persistence paid off eventually and I'm so glad. He's just lovely.

A god, sex on legs!

I was sitting on the patio of a bar in Spain and looked round to see a a pair of legs topped offed with a cute bottom going up the steps into the bar and thought whoaw wonder if the face is as nice! We met later that day and it was! We have been together for 17 years.

My first impression was "overweight". His personality won me over though and we married 3 years later.

His first impression of me: "She's a helluva lot shorter than I imagined her to be! This might not work." A day later he fell in love with me at a medieval festival after I went up to a snake handler to stroke the snake she had draped over her. A year later he told me about it!

My friend was very keen on a new fireman to the station, so I went in to ‘have a look’! I instantly thought he was a bit fat and had horrible long sideboards! He doesn’t even remember the occasion!

Subsequently I was out on a date and DH saw me and fancied me and thought what an idiot the boy was that I was out with, so he manoeuvred a double date the next week with my friend and I but to her disappointment he wanted me! We got engaged 6 weeks later and married within a year, still both only 19! I have lost that friend!

My first engagement he was a loud cockney impressed a 16 year old my first husband was a mysterious type with big brown eyes and my husband now had big blue eyes tall and handsome still is 24 years later ?

1st Husband : I recall saying to my friend that I wish that man would stop staring at me !
2nd Husband: walked into my office (my bosses son) and I recall thinking “wow” .... 10 years later I divorced him for mental cruelty !

Oh goodness, he’s got beautiful eyes

Wow! Still feel the same - 38 years later.

He was with his ex-wife who I thought was lovely; I thought he was just a crude idiot!

Looked like an angel, he behaved like one. Still does, but has a hidden devilish side.

God he is sooo posh!

Blond curly hair and dimples ( sounds like a girl when I say it now). I was always a sucker for curly hair. I am so shallow.
Now, after 60 years, he has white curly hair and dimples.

Very big! He was 6'4" and dreadful dress sense I did manage to do something about the clothes eventually!

Good looking.

I thought he’s taller than me (I was nearly 6 foot but have shrunk 4 inches but he is still taller than me).

Great teeth! And, will he never shut up! (He never does).
