Good news Carillion things seem to be returning to a new normal.

Grandmafrench Sat 02-May-20 13:19:02

Enjoy your book, brave lady. Hope you get a better night tonight and that all that pain is under control by the end of the weekend. Meanwhile, Fatboy sends you lots of purrs sad xxxxxxx

Zippa de do dah, zippa de day ?? ( don't think I've spelt that correctly ?)

? The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray.
Sorry if it isn't sunny where some of you are ?

soop, please take it easy (and you are not bleating on btw). Brought you a brew and a gooey sticky bun cupcake so sit back and relax.
That goes for you too Dreamkeeper and Mr D!

Grandmafrench, you are a very kind soul, very special indeed. I'm a little bit like you in one respect, I'm another one who wants to fix things and especially all the suffering people go through. If I can give a little help or support to someone else I will, betray the ones I love however always crosses a line with me.

I've got so behind with everything I don't know where to start atm. Perhaps I'll sit here with another cuppa and ? what I need to do first ?. By the time I've done that maybe it'll be time for dinner and then there won't be much of the day left to do much of what needs doing so it may be no use starting any job at all ?.

Charleygirl5 Sat 02-May-20 15:10:03

Carillion that was a very pleasant bolt out of the blue. I do hope it works.

Dragonfly I hope that poor Dexter is on the road to recovery- so difficult when they do not understand.

soop I am sorry to hear you are in pain but luckily it will be short-lived. Pleeease look after yourself and rest. I am aware it is a word you do not recognise but I am sure you do not want myself and Tara breaking lockdown to personally
explain it to you! Feet up and book in hand- that is an order.

Cherry it is the weekend- please do not overdo it.

Dreamkeeper seeing this beautiful sunny weather must make you think how fortunate you are not to have responsibility any more for that gorgeous garden you and Mr D. owned before moving about a year ago. Time flies.

TOYA

soop Sat 02-May-20 17:07:14

dragonfly And we all love you. Please give dear Dexter a special "good boy" hug.

Carillion Yay! That is positive news. Your husband will benefit greatly from the resumed physio. Your new GP sounds very much like ours. We continue to root for MrC. smile

callgirl1 Sat 02-May-20 17:14:45

Soop, so sorry to hear that you`re not feeling too good. Things are always worse during the night, aren`t they, and the time drags so? Please keep on with your own advice and diagnosis, and REST!
Thank you all for your kindness, it`s so appreciated.
There`s a bit of a family rift at the moment, and it`s upsetting a few people, understandably. The wife of my son who is ill, a lovely girl, is in disagreement with some others in the family, and it`s causing a bit of unpleasantness, I hope it`s soon sorted.
Carillion, nice to read your good news, and I`m ever hopeful of good news about little Henry.
TOYA, especially those feeling poorly or sad xxxx

soop Sat 02-May-20 17:22:08

Grandmafrench Purrs from Fatboy are very welcome. I would enjoy having him sit with me from time to time. I find cats to be therapeutic.

CharleyG Please may I borrow Tara? One cannot have too many cats. I love them to bits.

CherryC Boy...that sticky bun was pure pleasure. Dreamkeeper and I are still trying to clean up the mess

It's been a very strange day. The swelling in the joints of my hands is beginning to lessen. Shoulders and hips remain jippy. After tomorrow, I shall be skipping into our kitchen wearing a very big grin and bearing flowers for every one of you lot. Because you are worth it.

I leave you with a silver sea.

Thinking of you all. smile moon

Charleygirl5 Sat 02-May-20 17:34:25

soop I am aware you love cats, as do I but Tara is rarely at home and even when she is, she does not stay any length of time with me unless it is an evening she wants to lie on the arm of my chair and be stroked. She would love your garden.
TOYA

Oh dear, my arrival in the kitchen seems to get later by the day.

Can't believe I missed out on the fish fingers Nannytopsysad, haven't had them for years and really loved them. You've given me an idea for something different for next week.

How lovely that the scent of those flowers reminds you of your late mum Grandmafrench. Scent is reputedly the most powerful of our senses to stimulate memories. The scent of a struck match always reminds me of my gran lighting the rings on her gas cooker.

Henry is coming on isn't he Susan despite his problems bless his himsmile. I'm sure the little ones move on a lot sooner than our boys when they were little.

No worries Doodle I'll happily give you a quick trimsmile.

callgirl flowersI hope your feeling a little better today.

Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight soop and you've been putting your feet up today. You must take care of yourself.

Sending best wishes for Dexter Dragonfly.

Mr. S. was looking rather bored this morning so I suggested he clean of on the 3 arm chairs we have in our kitchen diner as I'm ashamed to say it was distinctly grubby.

Now it looks as good as new and he's done such a great job I've suggested he does one tomorrow and the third on Monday. I'm thinking of his mental health and don't want him to get boredgrin.

Have a good evening everyone. We've decided to have an Indian takeaway for a change; can't wait.

CherryCezzy Sat 02-May-20 19:43:48

Charleygirl, no worries on that point I've done b....r all all day! Well, not entirely true - I've sat eating cake and I had a curry for dinner ?.
Brill' news Carillion, things should improve for Mr C soon.
Smileless, are you actually any good at cutting hair? I've managed to do a pretty good job on my fringe but there is no way I can manage to do anything to the rest and there is not a hope in hell I'm going to let my WP loose on it - he can't cut bread straight! ?
Give Dexter a gentle hug from me dragonfly.
soop hope you have a restful night and make sure you take care of yourself tomorrow too! I love all your sunsets and wow the silver sea is one heck of a photo. I think I might, if I may, print that one out and even frame it. It is spectacular.
TOYA ?

cornergran Sat 02-May-20 20:07:50

Doodle Sat 02-May-20 20:28:00

My goodness the kitchen is so busy these days. That is a good thing it means we are all here supporting each other and using soop’s good example to be kind and caring to each other.
callgirl you are in pain and suffering that is not be8ng sorry for yourself that is pain. I hope you can get in touch with your gap and get some better help. I hope your family problems get sorted out. You and your son have enough to deal with. People ought to be kind.
Aw charley so you’re not pregnant. I was going to start knitting ?
soop you are in pain too. It is not allowed. The kitchen should be a pain free zone. I hope you feel better soon.x
carillion glad your DH is going to get his physio. Obviously some mix up there.
dragonfly keep thinking of you and Dexter. Hope he is improving.
smileless plenty of work here for your DH if he runs out of cleaning ?

Sorry a few typos in that. Forgive me.
Message for soop. I have been watching the daily service from Canterbury Cathedral given by the Dean in his garden. He has a number of cats including a lovely little thing called Tiger (striped). Today he did his whole service with Tiger sitting by his side elegantly dipping a paw in the milk jug on the tray by his side. Licking his paw then plopping it back in the milk jug for another go. The Dean was not at all perturbed and carried on throughout with Tiger consuming all the milk. It was very sweet. ?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 02-May-20 20:49:30

Soop I haven’t had a chance to catch up, but I gather you are poorly please take care the kitchen needs you flowers

Sending hugs to all (((hugs)))

annodomini Sat 02-May-20 21:28:59

soop, I hope you will feel better in the morning. It's a shame you have such a dramatic reaction to the Zoledronic Acid. Take care of yourself. I am quite jealous of all the cats you people have. I'd have had one (or two) but the road outside would probably be lethal.
Callgirl, I feel for you and am so sorry you are in so much pain. It's hard for you, with your worry about your son too. I hope you get better news about him soon.xxx moon

callgirl1 Sat 02-May-20 22:12:15

Thank you all, now I`m flipping crying! Stop being so nice!

dizzyblonde Sat 02-May-20 22:57:52

I have a confession to make. I haven’t read any of the current kitchen but rest assured I’m still thinking of you all.
News from dizzy land. I was tested on Thursday due to mild symptoms again and have today been confirmed as positive for COVID 19. I feel fine and as far as I know has symptoms a while back so this may be the gift that keeps on giving. I’m keeping in drinking the scotch as recommended by my DH who has had no worrying symptoms despite being nearly 60, overweight, an ex smoker and with AF.
TOYA xx

MawB Sat 02-May-20 23:02:42

Sorry to hear that Dizzyblonde , am I right in thinking both you and your DH have tested positive?
I do wish you a return to full health as soon as possible. From a medical point of view maybe rest should feature as well as the Whisky?
Seriously, get well soon flowers + ?

dizzyblonde Sat 02-May-20 23:18:15

Yes MB. We’ve both now tested positive with very mild symptoms. It will be interesting to see if DS and DD who live with us test positive.
Will be continuing with the scotch trial as well as rest or at least rest from housework.?I’m a big fan as I grew up with my Mother advocating it (whisky)despite her being a small sherry at Christmas kind of woman.

dizzyblonde Sat 02-May-20 23:19:48

MB by the way I did reply to your message. Hope I didn’t offend you.?

CherryCezzy Sat 02-May-20 23:29:13

What? Again dizzyblonde! Seems that you are right then - a boomarang virus. Hope you are okay, sounds like you are not having severe symptoms so I hope they stay mild, go away quickly and never come back. It's good to hear that your DH doesn't have any worrying symptoms and I hope he doesn't have it again too. Get plenty of rest and enjoy your whiskeys ? ???

Goodnight Kitcheners , take care all of you ?

MawB Sun 03-May-20 00:15:01

Yes Dizzyblonde sorry I didn’t reply - I think we see things the same way.
Worrying that you are not clear of the virus, but I hope your symptoms remain mild . ????

Carillion01 Sun 03-May-20 08:02:33

Dizzyblonde that's a damn nuisance for you, so sorry you have been affected again. Hope you shake it off soon. Xx

Nannytopsy Sun 03-May-20 08:41:06

Good morning!
Soop I hope you had a better night and you are beginning to recover from your injection.
Dizzy get well soon and flowersflowers for Callgirl and all who are down.
MrT has just been rousted to make birthday coffee for me. A trip to the coast and lunch in a lovely pub at Aldeburgh? Well maybe not! I have got some nice steaks and have to choose a wine to go with them. Yum ?
Be good everyone - no falling over today.

annsixty Sun 03-May-20 09:15:45
