Happy Birthday NannyTopsy have a lovely day.
I am sorry you are still suffering soop hoping you are feeling better today.
dizzy sorry to hear you have tested positive. Is this the second time or is it the remnants of last time? I do hope you both get over it quickly.
That naughty dog Dexter had me scurrying back to the vet hospital yesterday. He found a plant pot where he could rub his eye between the cone. He made it very sore so after sending photos they assured me the stitches were still in place but he needed antibiotics. That was a round trip of an hour where I saw lots of people out doing silly things. There was no social distancing and some drivers were just out for a joy ride.
I am beginning to wish the doggy could go home soon - it is such a responsibility.
Happy birthday NannyTopsy?????
Hope symptoms stay mild dizzy, if your ‘cure’ works it could be a popular one. A friend across the other side of the country is in hospital waiting test outcomes, I know he’d much prefer your approach.
A very happy birthday nannytopsy, be sure to look after yourself as well as Dexter, dragonfly, it would be good if he could head home soon. Be gentle with yourself callgirl, hope sending a hug won’t make you cry.
How’s today looking soop? Hope you’re more comfortable.
Lazy item here is still in bed. After a week of just three hours sleep a night I gave in to Mr C’s nagging and took a tablet, now enjoyed breakfast in bed and contemplating stirring. Good job it’s cloudy or I’d be unhappy at missing a nice morning.
TOYA, stay safe people.
Indeed I feel the need for a PA here these days plus a reader to read out all the posts to me!! My vision is far worse since my Hospital stay.
However by hook or by crook I shall make my way to this kitchen one way or t`other!
So many again feeling in various stages of poor health and I do send each one of you a positive recovery and soon.
Dear Soop it does seem unfair the many medical trips you attend with then these various, and yes disrupting painful consequences afterwards.
Wishing you well, fully knowing how you put on a brave face.
Poor you Callgirl you are certainly in need of some TLC.
which I transport tootsweet!
Whilst Dizzyblonde hopefully both of you continue with mild symptoms only followed by a speedy and full recovery.
This "beast" of a virus is so very unpredictable.
Trusting young Henry is also doing nicely Susan
Good news for your man Carillion and hopefully it will prove a great benefit to him.
Dexter must be on the mend Dragonfly if he is getting up to mischief!!
On a much more uplifting note,Happy Birthday Nannytopsy May it be a good one indeed.
I was interested in hearing how you Grannyfrench and now you Cherry are the type whom naturally like reaching out and offering help,as a Nurse and also a Carer this was me too,it is just a natural part of who I am.
However, sadly, between my own deteriorating health, along with my dear one`s terminal illness, the stuffing seems to have been more than knocked out of me!
Now I can hardly take care of myself!
But to those with a caring heart.......and quite frankly that goes for you all here in Soop`s kitchen, this is altogether one remarkable uplifting place........truly every inch a refuge.
Nice upbeat posting Corner and always nice to meet up with you again, much water has run under our individual bridges since we last were in contact.
I do seem to be still somewhat disorientated!
It must be due to this Lockdown and being "shielded!!"
Too right CharlehG I look on as the mowers arrive here to do their job with a great smile upon my face!
Yes we have a little grizzle about the weeds and brambles that pop up on the various beds, but then tell ourselves........no longer our problem!!!
What a relief!
Loving pictures of the sea, especially as now it looks as if probably we shall not visit one this summer.
Weather a little on the grey side so only a few hardy souls "taking in the air" here today. The same ones daily strut their stuff!
Sunday lunch over(and nothing to praise at a great height either!) and the question is what on earth shall we now do,no chores this day ...and not many on any other day if I am honest!
We are both decidedly not up to par so I guess it will be some form of 40 winks!
Have yourselves a Safe and peaceful day.
A sunny good afternoon to my favourite peoples. Am I surprised to find the kitchen humming with activity? Nope! You lot are remarkable.
Happy bithday NannyTopsy I trust that you will be right royally spoiled.
We also regularly enjoy fish fingers. Wholesome and tasty. I enjoy them with chilli flavoured houmous (humous?)
Smileless The scent of wall flowers and stocks remind me of my Nana.
Good for MrS he's been doing a grand job. As has MacS who has been busy with hand-held vac and giving the sofa and chairs a thoroughly good going over.
CherryC Please use any of my photos that you like. I've hundreds. The 'silver sea' is a recent favourite of mine.
Doodle As always, kind words. Thank you.
callgirl1 Family matters are impossible to ignore and we all appreciate that right now, your health issues are making you feel very fragile. Please take the best possible care of yourself.
Doodle Cats! They are amazing creatures. I would have loved to have seen Tiger take his rightful place during the service. I watched a short clip of film recently. A cat made it's way on stage as the orchestra was preparing to play in concert. It refused to be removed. It sat, front legs tucked well under (as they do) throughout the recital.
dizzyblonde You are one tough cookie. My word, you will be awash with antibodies. Get proper well asap.
Pittcity I'll settle for a plate of perfectly cooked chips right this minute. Hang on...it appears that I'm having porridge and blueberries instead.
dragonfly Dear Dexter is keeping you on your toes. Those silly, selfish people should feel ashamed of themselves. Only we know full well that they won't.
Dear Dreamkeeper stay awhile and enjoy a peaceful afternoon with your friends. No need for words. You will feel the love.
My joints remain puffy. The pain is akin to short sharp electric shocks and I am hoping to goodness that within the next day or two everything will calm down. Painkillers help. It's during the night that the pain keeps me awake for long periods. Thank you for your kind, caring words. You are the tops. That's for sure.
Susan Little Henry remains in my thoughts.
Good afternoon ladies. Well I've managed to get into the kitchen even earlier today
and once again it's been a hive of activity and kindness
.
Even if I do say so myself cherry my hair cutting skills aren't bad at all so, if you're game so am I.
That's really kind of you Doodle to be thinking of Mr. S's. mental health and have some cleaning for him to do. He's only got one chair to do tomorrow and then he's all yours; well for cleaning duties obviously.
callgirl
I do hope your pain settles down, do take it easy and look after yourself.
Not good news about the positive test result dizzyblonde but good news that the symptoms are mild. Keeping everything crossed that they stay that way.
'Happy Birthday' Nannytopsy

. I hope you're having an enjoyable day.
Poor Dexter
if only we could make them understand that what they want to do only makes them worse dragonfly. I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly.
Breakfast in bed, how lovely cornergran I hope you haven't left any crumbs behind.
Your poor vision must be very frustrating Dreamkeeper. I worked as a PA at one time so do feel free to give me a call
.
That pain sounds awful soop
all the more reason for you to take things easy and perhaps spend more time in the kitchen where we can all keep an eye on you take care of you.
I was wondering where you were this morning Susan as you didn't post on the morning thread (or yesterday). Good to know you're still about and seem to be okay. Best wishes to little Henry x
Dreamkeeper, I'm a little bit like my mother I think, "daft as a brush" she was called when it came to helping others and putting others first.
It's in my nature to try and help other people. Both me and my WP have our own health conditions but if I can help I will, it's just what I do. It does get me into trouble sometimes, like the recent help I gave to the girl (woman) I know, and exacerbates my own health issues. I got a real ticking off by the Dr! Her situation is such a tragic one though I couldn't help but do what I could for her. I did do some good to help her in the end and her situation is improving, yes I did pay a price and I know that I can't keep paying a price to help.
I'm glad you succumbed to Mr C's "nagging cornergran and there's nothing wrong with breakfast in bed, as long as you're not the one cleaning up the crumbs ?
Happy Birthday Nannytopsy
??
Smileless, I do have rather a lot of hair mind and it's very thick so it's quite a task for you to take on but I'm willing for you to give it a go ??
I know there's more I wanted to write but I think I need to give my WP a hand in the other kitchen....
Belated birthday wishes Nannytopsy - I hope it has been as happy a day for you as circumstances allow ?????
Dizzyblonde/I have just read this headline, it may be of interest to you.
People are falsely testing positive for a second time due to dead lung cells, says WHO expert
I remember that pain well after my infusion soop I hope the tablets I am starting this month do not have the same effect.
soop, I hope you are resting! My WP has CPS and sometimes has painful electric shocks, when he has them he goes white as a sheet. It's obvious that it's incredibly painful. Rest, relax, that's an order not advice!
Dexter is giving you one heck of a task dragonfly. He's being very ingenious trying to tackle the irritation he has, if only he could understand he's not doing himself any favours poor mite. I hope the antibiotics work ?
Take care of yourself too! ?
Smileless and CherryC I've done some gentle pottering and tiddling in the garden. It's a beautiful day. Far too good to waste. We then enjoyed afternoon tea on the so-called terrace. I am beginning to feel more like my usual self.
Good afternoon, Maw. I trust that you are keeping out of trouble well.
dragonfly what will the tablets be? I was told that the only method of getting the drug into the body, is through a catheter. This happens twice yearly. The Letrozole tabs are to be taken daily for the next 10 years. I am slowly but surely getting accoustomed to the effect they have on my system. Have you completed your course of chemo therapy? I often think of you. I wish you well and send Dexter more gentle "good boy" pats.
Wall to wall sunshine. Warm with it. Wash and brush up time. Wishing you all a pleasant and peaceful evening. I fully intend returning to our kitchen tomorrow.

Callgirl I sent you a couple of PM’s.
I wonder if you saw them?
Belated Happy Birthday ? nannytopsy hope you enjoyed your day ?
Evening all,
Happy Birthday NannyT , you share your day with young Coop . It was his 6th birthday today. His Daddy made him a birthday video with a message or song from all his school friends and family. Very sweet. We explained he couldn’t have everyone to his party and his Mum and Dad gave him a great day. Sadly , as they tucked him in he asked if everyone was coming tomorrow.
His best present was a look alike that Sam sent him - I’ve added a picture.
I’m struggling to get going most days, hence my absence, but hope you are all keeping well and safe x
Hello Soop I have my electronic acid infusions every 4 weeks and had my second one 2 weeks ago. Mine are for metastases to my spine and pelvis so maybe something different to you. I was warned I might suffer with bone pain from them But I have that anyway.
N&G what a lovely photo! I’m sure Cooper will agree that May 3rd is a lovely day for a birthday. You often get a Bank Holiday too!
I’m awake at silly o’clock again for no particular reason. DD organised a Zoom quiz last night with 6 teams of family and friends. Good fun and lots of laughing.
During the quiz, DiL was on her way home from work ( she’s a midwife) and hit a deer on the A14. Son rejoined the quiz from the side of the road when he went to wait with her for the AA. Think the car may be a write off.
We may well see someone today if they need to borrow our car! Six people and one mini won’t work!
I hope you are getting over your injection Soop and had a better night.
The dawn chorus is in full swing here despite a misty start.
TOYA
N&G poor Cooper- it tugged at my heartstrings when I read he thought his friends would be coming today. He is a lucky young man having such lovely parents.
soop please, please try and rest- I do hope that the pain starts to subside.
I was wondering if there is anybody in the kitchen who does not appear to have major medical problems.
dragonfly it is bad enough looking after somebody else's animal who is healthy but poor Dexter has had a rough time of it.
* corner* I cannot imagine sleeping 3 hours for several nights in succession. I switch off my light around midnight- sleepwalk to the loo once or twice a night and crawl out of bed any time after 7am and occasionally after 8am if Tara allows me. If Mr. C is a good sleeper it is 10 times worse for you.
TOYA
Morning All. Two decent nights sleep now, so why do I still feel so shattered? Just been for a walk, Mr C insisted, said it would energise me
. I'm not sure his thinking and mine coincide about that
. Pleasant enough by the river, few people around which is always a bonus.
Yes, charley Mr C sleeps more than well, I can wander around and he never stirs. Very different if we we have grandchildren sleeping over when the slightest sound wakes him. The old parenting instincts are still there.
Cooper is a delight n&g. It is so hard for the young ones looking forward to celebrations, isn't it? Our Littlest is already worried about his birthday, several weeks away. He asks us weekly if we will be at his party. I could (and often do after the call) weep. It's so hard for the young ones to understand.
No major medical problems here charley, aches and pains but otherwise we're both remarkably healthy, Now, tell me I haven't just jinxed that?
Hope you're more comfortable soop, any chance you might slow down just a bit?
Mr C has decided to clean the bird bath - no, I don't understand either - I have admin to do so had better concentrate.
TOYA, be good everyone.
