After lockdown is over

I'd love to be able to go to John Lewis. To rummage through curtain fabric instead of trying to find what I want from photos and to treat my DS and his girlfriend to something special for the nursery. And I would love to see the renovations and decorations he has been doing in lock down to his house.
Just to sit somewhere with a coffee watching the world go by would be lovely, but I guess that is a wish too far in the present situation.

What we all long for is normality. Even my job has changed (admin for NHS). I still have to go in, albeit part time now. Instead of typing letters I am redeployed to answering the phones. We even have to go in on the bank holiday (which is now Friday and not bank holiday Monday, more weirdness!).

Throwing my arms around literally anyone I see, whether I know them or not....

People can think I've lost the plot, but to hug someone after all we have been through would be ( to me ) just wonderful

Having a lovely meal at a restaurant overlooking the river with my family
Taking my 89 year old mother out to lunch or just going in to have a cup of tea with her instead of just taking her shopping to her and sitting on the wall on her drive to have a few minutes socially distancing chat
Long long walks at the coast
Fish and chips at the coast
Taking the short break on the Scottish Borders with my dh which we had planned just before this all happened.
Walking into a shop without queuing and social distancing
Visiting my Brother and Sister in Law who has had a stroke since this all started and is locked in without any visitors.
Having fun with my grandchildren.

Oooh you have really got me going. So many things.

Obvious things like seeing my GC, friends, etc.

Doing my groceries online, as I've been doing for 6 years - although I haven't been able to get a slot for about 8 weeks, so I've been queuing and going in the supermarkets (I hate going round shops)

Going to the pub on Saturday evenings to see local groups playing.

Getting back to my Zumba classes.

Get my ? done. My next door neighbour cuts my hair so I will be in there ASAP ?

Going away for a weekend with my OH and celebrating our birthdays - both happened during lockdown.

I also have a giftbox 'champagne afternoon tea' that I was given for my birthday last year. We were waiting for warmer weather to use it somewhere nice!

Taking my Mum our for a car ride and nice lunch.

Visiting family I've not seen since last year.

But what I really want is to go away on holiday, somewhere hot where I can swim in the sea and walk in the sand. I think that's a long way off!

Apart from the usual seeing DC & GC, it’s having a coffee not made by someone in this house and browsing in a book shop.

Seeing family and friends (not trivial). Going out for a meal. Visiting the seaside. The least trivial of all getting my hair done!

Not trivial at all - Cuddling my darling baby grandson. I became a first time granny 11 months ago after waiting till I was 70 to be a granny. He is adorable and gorgeous and I want to cuddle him and play with him...........

Dentist dentist! Lost a large filling at the beginning!

I can't even imagine what I'd do. I suspect it'll be little by little rather than just a complete back to normal.
I'd love to be in a restaurant looking at a lovely menu and deciding what to have.
