Not expecting any post because they will not deliver today.
Maybe start to prepare my Sunday/Monday meal in slow cooker later.
But also have a Chinese Take Away later on.

Hello everyone
Haven't had a chance to read the thread as yet but just wanted to say Happy Birthday Mick

Purplepixie Sat 02-May-20 11:59:10

Good morning from a sunny and bright East Midlands.

A very happy birthday Mick, try and enjoy your day!

Today I am going to do a bit in the garden now the robins seem to have flown the nest and I can get into the shed.

My lovely son who lives with us has offered to get us 3 a pizza takeaway tonight, so that is no cooking for me. Plus I haven’t had a one in months!

Later today I am going to sort out some embroidery that my friend sent to me for my birthday. I haven’t done embroidery in years so I might be referring to YouTube for some help.

Have the best day possible and stay safe.
Love to all. X

? Happy Birthday to you ? Mick ?? . Enjoy your Chinese meal this evening ? and have the very best day possible.

I want to thank all the lovely GNs who expressed concern about me and wished me well. I am very touched by your kindness. I've only been a GNer a couple of months so it was particularly special. ❤️ to you all.

My brain is working (not ?) like a guppy atm so please excuse me for not posting what I'd like to post to many individual GNs.

Urmstongran Woohoo! So very good that you have been let out of your prison ? to walk to the police station and back ?. I'd be dancing (as slowly as possible) my way there! Sounds like the weather's good too so enjoy it ☀️☀️

Marydoll, sorry you are not too good atm, and your RH etc has decided to give you some gyp ?. You are a ? and don't deserve it. Rest, relax and rest some more!

Why oh why are these companies etc making things so hard Gillybob. It just ain't cricket and they know it! Exploiting the time we are experiencing I expect, the b.......ds.

dragonfly, despite Dexter damaging his cone, to get rid of it obviously, I hope he's starting to improve after his 'op.

Thinking of Susan and hoping that little Henry is okay. The dietician and the doctors must sort it out asap. He's only little, and very vulnerable, they should be acting with urgency! Heartfelt wishes that he is doing okay and sending this ? x

I could write a novel about all that's gone on since this time last week. The situation with the girl (woman really) I'm trying to help is heartbreaking. All the hoops she's being put through are beyond belief! One organisation passes to another and then they do the same, it's a bl...y circumlocution office! To cut a long story short, it put me (or I put myself) under such strain I ended up quite ill and was hospitalised on Tuesday, but only until Thursday morning. I live to fight another day, as they say (whoever they are) but I know I need to listen to the Drs and must not take on too much!

Like I've said I'm sorry that I've missed out many of you I wanted to include in this post but I am thinking of you all ?

Look after yourselves everyone, stay safe ❤️

Good Morning from a sunnier Black Country. Rained most of yesterday.

Enjoy your walk Urmston hope the sun shines for you!

Happy Birthday Mick wishing you the best day possible.

We watched the film The Full Monty on TV last night. Still find it funny and poignant. At least it took my mind off what is happening for a couple of hours. Love the music it too. We saw the stage production in Bristol about 3 years ago. I pointed out to my Partner the males in the audience were well outnumbered! Only about 20% were men. smile

We were planning to stay in Benalmadena Pueblo in September EV have been there a few times, will miss it.

My DS found out yesterday that his Manager who gave him his first job in Sports Development 20 years ago, succumbed to this vile disease! It is so so sad.

Wishing everyone a good day with special thoughts to anyone feeling down or poorly flowers

Good morning from the gloriously sunny Scottish Borders.
Late today because we had our own nr disaster. I was so busy fighting with the printer to make a postage label and catch the Saturday post that the porridge pan burnt dry and the smoke alarm went off.
We had meusli.
Now I'm waiting for my nice but naughty friend who brings me gin, chocolate and I hope, the newspaper.
Happy Birthday Mick
Great news Urmston I am smiling with you.

Back to the garden. We had a very heavy rain thunder storm last night which washed everything clean.

Just popped in to sing ?Happy Birthday? to Mick. Sorry it's a bit off-key ?. Have as good a day as you can, and enjoy your Chinese this evening.

Good morning to all from beautifully bright and sunny blue-sky Godalming. ?Not the warmest day but plenty of time for it to heat up.
I went for a bike ride today instead of a run, no reason other than it means I can go further in the same amount of time.
I had a lovely brekkie of M&S sweet pancakes with plain thick yogurt and raspberry coulis followed by a jolt of double espresso made in the new coffee pot.
Time now to ring Thames Water again. It's the worst company I have ever dealt with by a country mile and the website...webs**te more like.
I will vac upstairs and damp wipe the underbed storage boxes before getting stuck in to TW.
My music for the day is Slow Dancing In A Burning Room (guitar solo version) Jamie Harrison. I love that through my speakers as it fills the room...the house...the road...???
I think that's all. Quiche, salad and baked potato at 6ish plus a pear and slice of home-made plain chocolate cake.
Here's wishing a good or better day for everyone and a sunny ???? weekend for all. ?
Urmstongran don't overdo it will ya? ????️??????

Good Morning All x
Weather unsettled at the moment with cloud galore and it's non too warm either.

A quick trip to the corner shop later, only one person at a time as one shop is smaller. Precautions are taken pretty well there.

What a lovely thought that Urmston will be released into the sunshine for a few yards walk----it's a start.
My D's friends lived in Benalmadena and had a butcher's shop there for a few years and D visited a few times.

Did a bit of washing yesterday and it was lovely and dry in the stiff breeze, mainly towels of which I seem to be using a lot----all the handwashing I expect. Bedding next week when the weather bucks up.

Some tidying up and a flick round with the duster will do for today.grin Nobody to see the place anyway.

I hope everyone's staying fit and well and still managing with the strain of this alien life-style.
Stay well and safe everyone.xx

Good morning everyone from a sunny but chilly East Kent.
Happy birthday Mick; have a good day and enjoy your takeaway.
Urmstongran enjoy your walk to the police station; no lingering outside!
A day in the garden beckons with potting on of seeds and organising the plants that were delivered yesterday.
Hope those under the weather soon feel better. Hope Dexter’s cone stays intact and best wishes to little Henry.
Have a good day and take care

Callistemon Sat 02-May-20 09:54:30

Happy birthday Mick ???

and good morning everyone from a sunny S Wales sunshine.
It feels rather chilly and there are a few clouds hovering around. We had terrific hailstorm too, yesterday afternoon, so I hope our seeds which had just sprouted are ok. I shall tour the estate later and point out any problems to the Head Gardener.

Have the best possible day everyone and best wishes to those who are not feeling the best at the moment ?

Good Morning from a sunny N.,Cambs., Happy Birthday to Mick, hope you have a good as possible day. I was up early (for me, not too good in the mornings) today as we had an Ocado delivery at 8.15 am. That was all present & correct luckily.

Kalu Sat 02-May-20 09:43:07

Good morning all from a sunny, breezy Glasgow. Another good washing day??

Happy Birthday Michael ????enjoy your meal tonight?.

Lovely to see you here this morning Bellasnana. Hope all is well with you.

I got a gift from DH yesterday, a hedge trimmer! I am delighted with it and had a quick try out last night? I will now be able to keep the shrubs tidy and taking the easy option this year, shaping the box topiaires. That’s my day taken care of?

Ooooh, today is the day Urmstongran. ? Woohoo. Don’t walk too fast, slowly does it enjoying your outing. You don’t want to rush it??

DH is telling me it isn’t chilly outside Marydoll. Well it wouldn’t be if you are wearing denims and a heavy shirt!
I may have to put my thermal vest on again?. Hope you feel a bit better as the day goes on?

Wishing everyone a good day, doing whatever it takes to keep your mind off these strange times, at least for a while.

GrannySomerset Sat 02-May-20 09:29:09

Happy birthday, Mick, and hope it is as good as possible in the circumstances. Currently sunny in North Somerset but ominous clouds building so may not get today’s job - preparing pots for plant delivery in a week or so - but there is always tomorrow. Or the next day. Or the one after that ......

With nothing to differentiate the days it is hard to remember quite where we are, but hope we all have the best day we can.

Serendipity22 Sat 02-May-20 09:08:51

Forgot to say, the sun is trying its level best to get through the clouds here in Yorkshire..... ohhhhh just as I've looked up, its suceeded, yeahhhh.... I'm instantly happier.

Mythbirtthedragon Sat 02-May-20 09:02:31

Good morning from east London, sun is out and it’s a bit cool. Hope it’s not going to be as temperamental as yesterday.

Happy birthday Mick, enjoy your day.

Choir at 11 today, the one where we are learning the Chinese folk song; we’ve been asked to submit recordings of us singing our parts so they can pull them together. I am going to do it but my voice seems to have gone into shutdown; it sounds so much better when I’m in a crowd (big grin). I did have a bit of a blip yesterday morning but cleaning 30 large plant pots and drip trays sorted that out. I didn’t get many plants repotted as the rain kept coming over so that’s a job for today. Anticipating a walk today (it’ll be wellie conditions if the rain comes back). Hope everyone has a reasonable day.

Good Morning from a beautiful bright Fife, no wind just sun. A very Happy Birthday Mick I hope your day is filled with sunshine. Did not have a good night at all last night and feeling very lethargic and sore head today. Hope it passes. Urmstongran I hope you have wonderful day out, it will feel strange. No plans as yet for today will hit and see how I feel. DH will be back outside putting new guttering on summer house. Despite all our woes I hope everyone has a good day. Take care everyone and chin up. Enjoy your birthday Mick wine

Good morning everyone from a warm but cloudy S of France.
And to Mick...
———————————————
^Happy Birthday to you
And please don’t feel blue
Soon you’ll be on those buses
Stay Safe ‘til you do^ ?????
———————————————

Urmston. Have the best walk ever today. (That’s some achievement and I always just speak from my ❤️)

So very pleased you’re feeling more normal GG - take it easy, though. Those awful ‘collars’ dragonfly - poor Dexter, but now let’s hope for some real progress and some calm for you.

Only 176 new cases of the vile ? here in France yesterday!. Numbers are really coming down, thanks to our incarceration. (Without my specs I just went to press the emoji for a peacock ?.... get a grip, woman, you don’t get to call peacocks ‘vile’)

Haven’t decided whether to take it easy today, or start painting a bathroom. Mmmmm? See how I feel when I’ve showered and dressed, maybe.

Everyone, especially feeling wobbly or feeling unwell.....it’s going to be ok. Let all our feelings out, have a rant then put on a smile and believe .......we can and we WILL do this.
Happy Saturday all. ???
