Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky over Brackley this morning, today apart from being 72 .
Not expecting any post because they will not deliver today.
Maybe start to prepare my Sunday/Monday meal in slow cooker later.
But also have a Chinese Take Away later on.
Take Care ,
Mick

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is dry and bright.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Mick ??

I wondered if Urmston would be off out of the door at one minute past midnight sing Walking Back to Happiness.

I did an early shop yesterday. No queue and it felt more relaxed in store now that we know what to do. I camethe long way home and actually did some singing in the car.

Let’s hope we all have a better day and stay safe. Also to Dexter now he has had a day to recover from his op. ?

Nannytopsy Sat 02-May-20 06:17:16

Happy Birthday Mick! I hope you enjoy your Chinese take away. What are your favourites?
It’s my birthday tomorrow so we shall have steak and I have baked a fruit cake.
Good morning to all who follow and have a good day.
Getting excited Urmstongran?

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright, chilly corner of Somerset. Happy Birthday Mick, like the sound of a Chinese. No idea of the shape of the day here other than there will be a walk and a good bit of time in the conservatory with my book. Be gentle with yourselves everyone, stay safe.

Happy birthday Mick, hope you enjoyed your takeaway.
Clear but chilly in E Kent. (nina are you ok? I have seen you on here for a few days)
We had a hilarious game of UNO with our DD and GDs over Skype last evening. Quite cheered us up.
Apart from a ferocious hail storm in the afternoon, nothing happened yesterday. Nothing on today either,,,
Stay well, stay safe

Pantglas2 Sat 02-May-20 07:13:49

Morning all and happy birthday Mick from a dry but cool north Wales where I’m listening to a pigeon cooing and waiting (a trifle impatiently I’ll admit) for my chamberpot of tea. DH offered to fetch it and I’ve been instructed to stay in bed, ah, here it is!

Not a lot planned today apart from trotting out for a paper, more for the TV guide really. Stay safe and have a lovely weekend everyone x

NanKate Sat 02-May-20 07:16:36

Morning to the Birthday Boy Mick ?? and All.

A lovely sunny day here in South Bucks.

A friend is delivering some coffee beans to us today, so I will have a chat whilst she is 2 metres away in my front garden, what a palaver.

Ginny42 Sat 02-May-20 07:17:18

Good morning Mick and special birthday greetings to you. It's just not the same spending the day alone is it? There will be many more virtual friends popping by soon to cheer you up. Enjoy your takeaway!

It was golden sunrise in Cheshire after a wonderful sunset last evening but now the clouds have rolled in. It was too cold to sit out yesterday although I was prepared to sit in a jacket and a wrap, I changed my mind when I realised the sunshine had fooled me.

In the woods yesterday I met a mother duck and three ducklings. She walked out of the pond and up the embankment fearlessly towards me and stood with her babies a few feet away. Father was swimming not far away.

I'm planning a new painting today for my GS's birthday. I'm a terrible fiddler but it's not till July! That should be enough time. I'm going to bake something I'd never heard of before - spotted dick loaf. I found it in a search for egg free bakes and find tons of recipes for it. However did I reach this age and never hear of it?

Take good care of yourselves everyone. flowers for all.

Good Morning all from Inverness. It’s a mixture of clouds and blue sky just now and it’s dry so hopefully I’ll be able to get outside again later.

Happy Birthday Mick I hope you have a good day and enjoy your takeaway later ! ???

Nothing really planned for today, I’ve got a few odds and ends drawers and cupboards to sort out and maybe another go at sorting out and tidying up the garage and shed but we’ll see ....

Have a lovely day everyone and take care if you’re going out - Urmstongran special wishes to you to enjoy your day ?

Marydoll Sat 02-May-20 07:55:48

Good morning all from a very sunny, but cold Glasgow.

I have sent you a birthday card Mick in a new thread, I'm sure your followers would like to add their best wishes to it.
Unsurprisingly, the thread is called Happy Birthday, Mick!

A very easy day for me, I haven't had a good night. For some strange reason my angina and RA have flared up and I'm a bit whacked this morning. I can't understand, as I'm having the best rest I have had in ages.

Looking forward to seeing DD, when she comes for her shopping later. I managed a Tesco slot, so got her shopping and a few bits and bobs for neighbours.
One of my neighbours had a craving for a fish finger sandwich! grin

To all my fellow good morningers, especially those and their families, who are struggling just now, (((hugs)))

Have the best day you can, I'm off to open my maths class!
I'm being easy on that troublesome lot today! wink

Urmstongran Sat 02-May-20 07:56:43

GOOD morning everyone from Malaga where it’s gorgeous! I can hear the ducks quacking away in the swimming pool. Too cute! Himself is out on the landing doing his BRISK walk and just popped back in to say there are joggers out, cyclists, walkers. Woohoo!
?????????

I’m so looking forward to our walk after breakfast. Might put some lippy on for the first time in seven weeks! ?

No, GG13 we won’t be able to go along the paseo unfortunately (just yet anyway) as we have to stay within a kilometre of home. We checked the distance last night and it’s up to the police station on the way into Arroyo.

There’s a pharmacy opposite it and I shall go in to buy another month’s supply of blood pressure tablets. Plus, I need to buy a mask, I haven’t got one yet. Himself has used one for the grocery shop only.
?

Hope Saturday is good to us all. Nice to hear from you Bellasnana over there in sunny Malta. You went AWOL for a while. Trust you are alright? I must send a p.m. to BlueSapphire today. Yesterday was windy and the WiFi signal was rubbish.

Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

harrigran Sat 02-May-20 07:58:07

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Happy Birthday Mick, have the best day you can.
My Morrison's order arrived last night with about half of the requested items. No milk or cooked meat, no raw meat or fresh vegetables other than carrots and some other products had substitutes that were not really acceptable.
Basically a waste of time and the goods were all squashed, heavy bottles on top of tomatoes and bread.
Had video call with family last night, they were having problems with wi-fi not being good enough to support four of them working from home. DS was in a meeting when GD's online violin lesson started and DS lost his connection.
Teenage GD declined to appear again so I sent her a WhatsApp message which she replied to immmediately.
Started another novel yesterday, The road to Grantchester by James Runcie, gives you the story about Sidney before he became the vicar. I did enjoy the TV series.
My sister sent me a link to a French resaurant doing takeaways and asked me to pick my birthday meal, my present this year is going to my dinner. Apparently the meals come ready to pop in the oven.
Thinking of gillybob and others with troubles.

Greyduster Sat 02-May-20 08:01:32

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A very Happy Birthday to you, Mick??. Enjoy your day in whatever way you can. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but it isn’t warm. Don’t know what we will do today; I have some seedlings to sort out at some point, and the bathroom to clean. Stay safe folks.

Urmstongran Sat 02-May-20 08:03:56

Oh that’s really nice of you Marydoll and so thoughtful! I’m over to post my good wishes on it now. Thank you. How lovely for Mick to have his own thread.

Of course I shall want one now at the end of August ... the day after Beechnut!
