Does anyone have a good word to say for Megan and Harry?
Just out of interest.

None whatsoever.

I enjoyed the wedding and I like bit of glamour, but I am not really invested enough in the Royal family to have any strong opinions about their actions.
I certainly don't pretend to know their characters or motivations and don't really "get" that so many feel as if they know them personally.
I have been surprised at the level of vitriol that has been aimed at them on a forum for grandparents,on so many threads and for so many hours.

As long as they don’t take money off us I don’t care what they do, but if we pay for their security etc after them stating they want to be financially independent, then it’s a farce and they want their cake and eat it.
Have they paid the money back to us yet for their renovations as they promised.
I’ve gone off them both.

Exactly, very strange level of animosity

No! she is a Goldigger and she has turned him the same way.
How sad.

I feel that 'Never complain, never explain' would have been a useful mantra for them and I fear they've made bad choices which they may already regret.

I read the paper, watch tv news and listen to the radio, but apart from the wedding I never see or hear anything relating to Meghan markle so have no clue, or opinion, about what she has worn, done, said, or been.

I am not a royalist but have been surprised with the sometimes quite unpleasant vitriol aimed at the couple since their wedding.

Posts on gransnet pages just go on and on. Yes I am adding to it now but it’s the first and will be my only comment.

Surely there’s more important stuff going on.

Allegedly Harry has said he cannot believe how his life has turned upside down. It is the life that he and Meghan have chosen they are the only people responsible for their decision and lifestyle choice. It is sad that it has come to this and I do wish him, Meghan and their Son well for the future.

Quite some time ago, long before the "Megxit" thing, I started a thread along the lines of "I used to think we'll of Meghan, but know I'm not so sure"

I stand by that. Although am starting to feel some sympathy for Harry.........make of that what you will wink

Couldn’t agree more.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I am not a royalist by any means but I have some sympathy for this couple who have so much vitriol thrown at them, I try not to judge anyone (not always successfully) without metaphorically walking a mile in their shoes.
I wish them well. Thank you

They are a young couple with a little baby. Does anyone have an ounce of sympathy?

Hardly a young couple. She’s pushing forty and he’s not far behind. I have very little sympathy. They’ve been the architects of their own downfall imo.

I think they were great in Africa with the crowds and didn't put a foot wrong (until that interview).
