Does anyone have a good word to say for Megan and Harry?
Just out of interest.

Dgrann777 Sat 02-May-20 10:37:15

They are a young couple with a little baby. Does anyone have an ounce of sympathy?

GabriellaG54 Sat 02-May-20 10:38:38

No...none.
Made their bed...

I used to be a great fan of Harry's and was so pleased to see the two of them very happy and in love. I thoroughly enjoyed their wedding, I cried when the Kingdom Choir sang Stand by Me. I wish they had not made the choices they have made.

GabriellaG54 Sat 02-May-20 10:39:36

Sympathy for a young rich couple with a baby...?
Why?

Smileless2012 Sat 02-May-20 10:42:08

No I'm sorry to say

Well according to all the threads on Boris what people do in their personal lives is none of our business, I dont know them so have no strong feelings about how they lead their lives.

Young?
Check the paperwork.
Neither are young, innocent or inexperienced.

Please not another m and h thread.....

GabriellaG54 Sat 02-May-20 10:43:09

Fancy taking your dad to court...good grief. What sort of person does that over a letter. It would have died a death had she left it but no, she has to resurrect it befire the whole world.
Selfish and entitled. I'd be ashamed to say she was my daughter.

GabriellaG54 Sat 02-May-20 10:43:46

*before.

timetogo2016 Sat 02-May-20 10:44:19

Exactly GabriellaG54.
I personally think Megan is manipulative.
I honestly think if Diana were here Harry would never leave his family/country or his beloved career.

luluaugust Sat 02-May-20 10:51:21

I agree with GabriellaG54 and timetogo2016, he already had the greatest base in the world to do so much good and he seems to have thrown it all away for what? Megan never gave life in Britain the smallest chance.

eazybee Sat 02-May-20 10:58:22

No, no good words; they were fortune's favourites, but
have wilfully spurned so much that was offered to them.

SirChenjin Sat 02-May-20 10:59:53

Nope - not one ounce of sympathy. I was quite surprised by the engagement photos with her in her ballgown in the garden and all the back rubbing she did to Harry in the early days but beyond that I had no strong feelings about her/them. Now I just wish they’d bore off - they’re a pair of entitled attention seekers who can’t separate fact from fiction, and they irritate me intensely.

Anniebach Sat 02-May-20 11:03:54

They are not a young couple.

The text’s they sent to her father when he had undergone heart surgery? It was all about them .

They could have flown to see him after the wedding but no,
went on honeymoon, something they could have delayed.

They visit S.A. All they spoke of in their tv interviews were
themselves, ‘ no one asked if I was ok’,

As for the announcement that there would be no announcement.!

The first photograph of their baby for the public ? A toe.

Oldwoman70 Sat 02-May-20 11:25:58

And here we go again - resurrecting the same complaints about a couple none of us know. Personally, I don't care one way or the other, why not just forget about them

aggie Sat 02-May-20 11:26:30

All valid remarks , but I do not think any private letters should be published .
You can’t say that that paper did it for altruistic reasons
I am not a royalist , nor a Megan fan , nor am I particularly impressed by dim Harry

MiniMoon Sat 02-May-20 11:26:49

No.
They could have done so much good in the UK.
I liked Meghan, and hoped that she would settle into life within the Royal family but I'm afraid that the pull of her old life lured the two of them back to the USA.
I never, for one minute expected them to settle in Canada!

Anniebach Sat 02-May-20 11:34:19

Her friends disclosed parts of the private letter

Barmeyoldbat Sat 02-May-20 11:34:53

Blimey I don't always agree with Gabriella, but this time I do.

Lucca Sat 02-May-20 12:03:19

Agree oldwoman70. But we’ll be told not to post if not interested (more time on hands !). I’m just amazed at how many threads on these two with the same things said again and again and again as if original

mumofmadboys Sat 02-May-20 12:03:30

Private letters are exactly that. The editor of the gutter press should be ashamed of himself for publishing it without the writer's consent. The press are adding to the sad discord already present in the Markle family.

Anniebach Sat 02-May-20 12:15:04

Did the five friends ask for the writers consent before they
disclosed part of the letter? If so she wanted it made public.

SirChenjin Sat 02-May-20 12:29:16

aggie no, I don’t either and whoever did sell them to the paper was very wrong to do so. I’m finding difficult to have any sympathy for them though because I think they’ve behaved liked idiots. They come across as completely self absorbed and only interested in making money from the Royal connection - I don’t think they’ve done themselves any favours.
