Corrie. That Geoffs a nasty piece of work

Corrie is my favourite soap, but I’m so glad I don’t live on that street, been a avid watcher since I was very young, the storyline with Geoff and Yasmeen is keeping me gripped. Fantastic actors both of them, but I do find it strange none of the other residents have picked up on the abuse apart from Aliyah, I am a week behind as I generally watch the omnibus and binge watch, Geoff calling himself daddy made my skin crawl, hoping he gets his come uppance

Coercive control is toxic.
It paralyses a victim rendering her/him powerless. That's the aim of the abuser.
Nannie said she'd stick her nose in? In the case I'm thinking about I'm praying for someone to do just that.
It's not happening.

Lots more TV programmes with this story line might just highlight the need to help someone stuck in these relationships.

Jane10 I agree, I personally think it would have been more realistic if the police had found the cameras but I appreciate it is a soap! Provided Geoff gets his just desserts I will live with that faux pas.
