I am sat here in my kitchen and all I can smell is cannabis its coming through my larder (cupboard) even if I sit on my back garden to get away from the smell I can still smell it, Its coming from my next door neighbours they was smoking it at 8.30 this morning and it will go on all day, Come the evening he lights fires on the back garden which was lite at 12.30 last night, I have reported them and we was given a sheet to fill in about them having fires all the time , I have also reported them online about smoking cannabis in the house and garden all the time, Nothing seems to have got done, My partner as suggested that we move and tbh I don't want to as my house is fully paid and I love my house, Them whats moved in are renting the house and moved in last April, How do I found out who the land lord is, or what can I do . any advice is welcome.

Sadly police will do nothing unless they are dealing. You will devalue your own property if a complaint is upheld re drugs next door and fires. As it it if you sold and didn't declare all the problems to new owners they can sue you now. Part of a selling contract states any problems with neighbours. This isn't fair but it's contract law now. Also be very careful about reporting drug use to police. Best done anonymously as some dealers and users are not nice people

With regard to the cannabis smoking which you have reported try writing or emailing to the Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for your Police authority.

Up dating on what as happened up to press Police phone me up yesterday (I told him everything which is a lot more than I wrote on here) He told me he would take some photo's and try to find out who the land lord is to show them the photo's and He paid them a visit to warn them he also said it might help but can not promise,so my fingers are crossed,
I am shocked on how many people have gone through this or still living with the problem,
Thank you all, you all have been very helpful

Why don't you write to the landlord, asking him/her to contact you about the tenants and post it to the address next door, markled "For the attention of the landlord only" and "Private and Confidential".

These people should pass it on to the landlord.

Your council should have a list of all landlords. Ours do. He/she shouldn’t be hard to ‘ find’. You’ll probably find they’re breaking their tenancy rules, and be kicked out. Are they students stuck there due to the lockdown? We’re a student town, and some have had to stay here. All well behaved though, because if they’re not, the university takes matters into their own hands, and will remove them if they don’t comply with the rules. It sounds awful, I hope you get it sorted.
