My granddaughters had outgrown a pink bike I keep in our garage, so when we had a clear out I decided to leave it outside our drive propped up against a lamppost. I tied a sign on the bike “free bike” and I was absolutely amazed that within 10 mins it was gone !

Drives me mad when they do that LadyGracie. “We left it by your back door.”
You mean you climbed over the garage roof and broke into the utility room? I don’t think so.
A few days later our neighbours who had been away brought the parcel round.
In the meantime Amazon had sent a replacement and said they were not going to collect the first one.
I didn’t complain about that, but I was glad it hadn’t been raining.

We have had two deliveries where the package has been dumped by the gate rather than brought to the house. We can’t see the gate from the house so they could have sat there for a few days as we are not going out! One was a plant That is not hardy so I was particularly annoyed.

I had a message to say a parcel had been delivered, I replied that it hadn’t. They then sent me a photo of the parcel they say was left in my porch.

I haven’t got a porch.

I arranged for someone to collect a bag of history books from my front steps. She didn’t come so I contacted her to ask did she Still want them. She said she had driven passed the house and they weren’t there. I just don’t know whose house she drove by.

Our village support group have asked for donations of baby stuff (nappies, wipes etc) which I ordered with my Sainsbury delivery.

After it was delivered, I emailed the organiser and left the stuff (as always) in a carrier on the gate post.

About an hour later I answered the door bell to find a very nice man holding my carrier of baby stuff saying 'I think you've left this by the gate!'

I thanked him, waited till he'd gone and then took it back down to the gate.

About an hour later, the same thing happened with a different man.

And, it happened again later on.

Then I got an email from the organiser saying that she had tried to collect it but the baby stuff was missing and she hoped it hadn't been stolen.

I'll try again today but with a BIG note on the bag!
