Your next holiday - where to?

Same for us this year has been the first where we haven't had at least one trip abroad. We were planning Corsica but sadly I think we'll have to wait till next summer, even if flights and resorts might reopen well before that. We will hopefully visit some places in the U.K.

I long for Spain, for the food, the sun, the lovely people......hopefully will be there soon. Spain is my first choice

We were going to Warner Hotel in Hampshire for 4 days on 6th April we have transferred the booking to April 2021.
We may have a couple of nights somewhere before that. We will monitor the situation.

It is indeed - my Husband’s Daddy was from close by - but sadly a bit too busy now - Hen parties etc have changed the ambience- or Mousehole been visiting since a child but not sure what ‘welcome’ we’d get ?

Mr P and I haven't had a holiday since 2005, so it's not currently on our "to do" list!

The very last holiday I would go on is a package holiday or a coach tour.
This will come back to bite us on the bum once everyone starts travelling again.
A luxury country house in the UK with pool would be my choice arriving in our own car.
I will not be flying again.

Hopefully my next holiday will be once again flying out to Italy. Or possibly driving as you can bring more stuff back in a car. That's supposing Brexit doesn't stop us importing food and wine. I know the hotel I will go to and the restaurants I will go to and the old friends I will meet. And I will have a proper coffee and superb ice cream.

We should have been leaving tomorrow for a first visit Lake Como. We (i) decided to make it as special as possible by booking a Lakeview room/terrace etc.

We have been offered vouchers with £50 extra each ...no thankyou. Full refund please. They are 'considering it ' !!

It will be a long time before I could think of flying. Here in NI it costs us nearly £300 for a return ferry journey to go to the mainland. But I think we'd still head over to Scotland.

I'm going to Filey in August (at least that's the plan and it's booked).

Right now I would be happy going into Reading, which isn’t far away, just for a walk along the river. And maybe a shop or two.
Sorry, facetious. We haven’t flown for a good few years now, travel insurance is a problem with DHs diagnosis. Have instead seen loads of the UK recently that we hadn’t seen before. Among other places we were going to the Lake District this year, doesn’t seem likely now. Good to dream though.

Llandudno for me...hopefully but got to hold that thought for now, as illness in the family.

But maybe St Annes for the day about an hour from where I am.

Also York or Harrogate and a trip to Bettys Tea rooms to spend my Vouchers I won on Gn.

In fact I am going to look on Google earth and take a virtual stroll down Llandudno prom.

Why not have a look at your favourite place and also take a stroll with in hand

DD is in Thailand and DS in Texas but we’ll not be visiting for the foreseeable future. Once wee Nicola opens up the border we’ll be touring the west of Scotland to find a house to retire to by the loch or the sea.

We should have been travelling to Shetland next week, hopefully same time next year. No trips to Italy scheduled but the family are talking about a big get together holiday summer 2021. Here’s hoping.

We were due to go on a cruise to the Mediterranean in October but it was cancelled. I had no wish to go on a cruise at that time and to visit Spaiin and Italy with Covid 19 still lurking. We have rebooked for the Baltic in May 2021, but we will decide nearer the time depending on the situation
Other than that we have made no plans.

We have a cottage booked near Carmarthen in August but won’t be going. My plans are to visit friends who have just relocated from Denver to Florida probably in Spetember next year. I also want to visit The Silk Road but that will be 2020 I’d I’m lucky

Usually go to Portugal with DD and family in July, but that's out this year. We're thinking of going back to Venice next spring, on the train via a couple of nights in Paris. If things settle down, we might go and see DHs daughter in Devon in the autumn.

I was reading how Qantas are planning to restart their interstate and international flights (eventually) and how they will implement social distancing. Apart from handling masks and hand sanitizer to every passenger, they said that there won't be any empty seats as the passengers are not facing each other and the seats height will help to separate from people behind or in front. Plus the air filtering on board makes it a low risk environment. All this as per their medical advisers. Hope so as we have family over there but I can't help feel it's a bit over optimistic. Financial gain over safety?

We should have been away this week in Northumberland. But not in a rush to book anything else this year.The weather has been so lovely we find walking to our patio with a G &T feels as good as a holiday !Next year Cornwall in Spring and driving to France in the Autumn hopefully.But wouldn't care if we never flew again tbh - and felt like that pre Covid.

It is our golden wedding anniversary in October and we had planned a nice holiday but then decided that we spend more time at home so we would redo the lounge completely instead.

Weren't we clever!!

Actually, not so clever because the lounge was half done by lockdown so we have the old carpet with paint stains on, some new furniture, some old furniture, new curtains and it's driving me bonkers!

Hello Kitty it is our 50th WA October next year so I am banking on being released by then.

Hopefully we will be going to the holiday cottage in New Forest mid July, a lovely log cabin for 5 days in August in Hungerford and a B &B in Wells in September. A friend has offered us her new seaside apartment in Bournemouth for June to celebrate DH’s 75 but I doubt we can go by then. Fingers crossed. ?
