nothing wrong with scruffy

I'm drinking a cuppa and wondering if I dare venture out into the wind to fetch the washing in.
It's blowing a hooley here.

I bet I'll claim the scruffy prize. I've been grovelling about re-staking broad beans in an old pair of brown jeggings, black T shirt and one of those headbands that makes me look like a cross between Hilda Ogden and a wartime poster girl for the Land Army.

At least it covered my ears and protected them from the flipping wind.

I'm sitting with my feet up enjoying a cuppa - at least I was before I noticed my toe poking out of my slippers!

I bet I’m scruffier. I’m still on a mission to sort our cellar and I’ve carried up five dusty storage boxes, the contents of which are now spread around the front room. I’m in the middle of it wearing old leggings and an even older tee shirt. They’re in need of a wash, and so am I.

Cream linen trousers, a blue Joules oversized fine cotton jumper and a Lola Rose infinity scarf in two shades of blue.

Old navy blue joggers...... have been working in the garden. A short sleeved blue t shirt with a small printed flower all over.

I think we should have a huge montage of us all in our Covid-wear. A sight for sore eyes

It’s still shorts weather here, so culottes type shorts, and a wedgewood blue sleeveless vest top with pretty pin-tucks at the front like a bib. The top is from Mistral in Dartmouth and we spent a very hot week there 2 years ago. When I saw this vest top in the window I bought 3 more also - one dusky pink, one red and one lime green. They’re just right for hot days.

I'm dressed now! So I am in black, cut down tracky bottoms (I cut them down!) and a black and cream striped t-shirt, knickers but no bra. I am not going out and am expecting no visitors so it's heaven to be braless!!

A charity shop nighty.

Pink chinos, raspberry fine cotton, V neck, long sleeve sweater, Sketcher's leather sandals. Long colourful wood bead necklace, earrings.

Scruffy black yoga pants, white t shirt with little silver stars all over (it was pretty once, now a bit tired). Much like myself ? Flip flops. Yes they do rather........

Lovely loose PJs in stretchy material, knee length trousers.

Black & white animal print Kaftan bought in Tewantin, Queensland. Worn in lieu of dressing gown

I am not dressed yet so I am in 3/4 pj bottoms - vest top and a hoody

Am now in my nightie after a day in the garden in my swimming costume because of an unseasonal drop in temperature here. It was lovely. I was with one of my girls, she made us margaritas, and when the going got tough we had a swim.

I’m wearing something now Maw. Just a floppy blue strappy dress wiv nada underneef.

Can I add Caesar salad dressing , grated beetroot and half a glass of Sauvignon blanc ?

Why has this thread died a death I wonder? It’s given me an amazing, not to say amusing, insight into the daily lives of my fellow Grans!
(Although Granny gravy really needs to explain where she is wearing the Caesar salad? )

I’m back in yesterday’s white linen trousers (they’ll do as I’m not going anywhere) and an orange/yellow/turquoise striped Joules t shirt from their sale.

Manuka yoga pants and a loose sleeveless cotton top, aqua/white floral, for my yogalates session. Which will I’m sure be a lot more pleasant in the heat than the power walking workout I foolishly attempted yesterday. (overheated, not cross!).

MawB We have had this conversation before. I am only a few years younger than most. All what stuff? I had on jeans and a tshirt with a handbag and sliders. It isn't faux fur on the inside, it's cotton lined. X
