Will be thinking of you tomorrow soop
Safe journey.
Mandelson failed security vetting. Starmer says he didn’t know
Using the Verb Get or variations of Get
I am so very sorry. My computer has died on me. Am having to use MacS's and am in a bit of a pickle. Just wanted to open this new kitchen and try to catch up later.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow soop
Safe journey.
Sorry if it is too much detail but I found an enormous hedgehog poo in the garden this morning - Mummy or Daddy I presume! We are setting up a wildlife camera tonight.
I love macarons especially raspberry ones. ( If that greedy lot haven’t scoffed the lot!)
Good luck tomorrow Soop! Victoria Park is one of the best bits of Leicester! Your son chose well.
I hear the glug glug of a sherry bottle so I’ll be off now.
Travel safely soop. Wishing you the best outcome possible tomorrow.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow soop.Hope it all goes well??
Doodle, the hair appointment went well although very different set up in the salon.Had to wait to be called in then sanitise hands.Plastic gown, plastic cape, reusable towel and mask?screens between the chairs and sinks and half the chairs had been removed to allow social distancing.10% increase in price.I had thought my hair didn’t look too bad but now it’s been cut and coloured I realise it was looking a bit scraggy?I have made my next appointment for the beginning of September.Lockdown has made me realise I don’t need to go quite so often.
It’s concerning how much waste there is going to be as salons have been told they must use disposable gowns, towels etc
Apparently there are now more discarded face masks in the sea than jellyfish.
Henry is doing well at the moment??I still feel scared writing that but the new team looking after him have given such good advice.
Thinking of you all and sending good thoughts to all our absent friends.
grandmafrench I would love to come and relax on a lounger if you have one spare. In a shady nook and be served with a nice cool drink with a straw...could that be arranged please.?
Er nannytopsy if it’s not too much information, how do you know it comes from a hedgehog? ?
susan good to hear about Henry. Let’s hope it continues. Your hair sounds nice. Mine will be 20 weeks when I eventually get it cut.
soop hope you get on with the wee thing. As someone who often needs to go I sympathise. Take care
I looked it up on t’interweb Doodle but it did look like the usual hedgehog ones ( black, cylindrical, bits of beetle) but bigger!
I have a hair appointment!! In August! ? . I shall be very wild by then... They will provide a mask, disposable gown and towel and charge me £5! Hmm
DD is coming tomorrow - can’t wait!
Sleep well!
Where is everyone?
Hello izabella how are you? soop’s gone for a hospital visit and it seems like everyone else has gone to spend the day at grandmafrench’s garden pool. charlygirl is going skinny dipping. ?
nanytopsy I too am getting hairier by the week. I haven’t even got a date for a haircut yet. ?
GrandmaFrench- I have made up my mind- I will use your neighbour's pool. Being a gentleman he will stay indoors when I am in his pool. I only hope I can get in and out of it without a crane assisting me because of my joint replacements and an ankle pinned and plated.
I will be returning to your garden for a lovely cup of coffee- sorted.
I cut my own hair so I will not need to visit anywhere for a couple of months.
soop I hope all went well today- it is a long old journey. Hopefully you have something easy prepared for supper this evening because the pair of you will be exhausted.
TOYA
Hello Izabella. Don't be lonely! I'm here and going nowhere at the moment, though I might have to go out for a bit of shopping later on when the shops are quiet. It's raining again, so no incentive to go visiting friends in their gardens.
My jaw is recovering from yesterday's hour in the dentist's chair. I was afraid my mouth was stretched so far that it would never be the same shape again, but the mirror says there's no difference ?.
soop, I hope you have reached Glasgow and had your check-up. You'll soon be back looking after us, though you may have to drag Charley out of a swimming pool, unless you join her in skinny dipping. My days for that are long over!
Hello Kitcheners, Izabella. I hope you are all well? Thinking of soop especially today, too.
I’m coming in for a rest after climbing on and off a small stepladder cleaning ledges, windows and blinds in the conservatory. It had to be done.
Charley you sound positively bionic with all your replaced joints and pins. While you have a swim “au naturel” at Grandmafrench’s , we’ll keep her gentleman neighbour detained and offer him cocktails and macarons.
Nannytopsy and Doodle We could arrange for a stylist to come to the Kitchen and all get “hair do’s” at the same time? Mine is beginning to annoy now as I’m sure the ear muff bits at the side are making me hard of hearing.
I’ve brought Lemon tea and Peppermint tea today in the glass teapots on the side. I’ll put Yorkshire tea on too for those who love it. We can move onto the Cocktails, Martini’s and Bellini’s later when the sun’s over the yardarm ?
Hi annodomini . Ouch! Your jaw sounds painful ?
*deepened the shade, I meant to say.
Puzzler I do love your plants and flowers. I have a stunning selection of weeds!
puzzler, the jaw is recovering nicely as I haven't had to talk to anyone today! Now I've said that, it's odds on that the phone will ring.
I would like to curl up like your little cat, better still, with her! I planted out a hydrangea that I originally bought as a pot plant and it has not flourished. It's sort of lacecap and has four flowers on it this year - none last year! Did I do the wrong thing? Probably. I am delighted to see that my deep purple clematis has come into flower and has plenty of buds. I thought it had disappeared!
So glad you’re feeling better - an aching jaw can be worse than toothache.
Interesting what you say about your hydrangea - I had a lace cap one last year in the border that didn’t thrive. The large one I photographed in the pot has many more blooms this year than last. I have kept it watered well through the hot, dry weeks earlier on in the year. Haven’t fed it.
I love Clematis too - well most flowers in fact.
I hope all went well today soop and that you and MacS are safely home?
I hope so too, soop. ?
Wow that is some hydrangea puzzler. What a fantastic colour. Aw little tabby girl looks so cute. ?
I’m thinking of soop too. Hope all went well.
Come back soon Soop we miss you ( and the Argy customers are missing your baked goods.)
Hope everyone is keeping well, just popped over here as I’m hungry and wanted cake ( you always have loads here)
Puzzler what a gorgeous cat- she does enjoy resting her eyes.
Ha Charley you reminded me of one of my mum’s sayings. If she sat down and closed her eyes, my 5 year old self would say “Mum, don’t go to sleep” and her reply was always “I’m not asleep I’m resting my eyes”. ?
The tabby girl can sleep for England, especially when she has a full tum of cooked chicken.
Thank you all for the praise for the Hydrangea. I can take no credit as it is in the same pot, same soil as last year and I haven’t fed it - just kept it well watered, so it’s a surprise it’s so vibrant.
I’ll pop back later and see if soop is around.
I hope her day went well yesterday ? ?
Just popped in to see if there was any news from our soop
How I would love to lay on a lounger in your garden Grandmafrench as we have very fine rain here and I think it is here for the day.
