Heartily concur with Grannylyn65 and the others who have dared to point out that MawB is not in charge here, it sometimes feels that way and people seem scared of correcting her or disagreeing with her. Well, I’m not.

Not at all but you posting that someone shouldn’t put one kiss on the bottom of their posts because it displeases you, in my opinion, is unnecessary and personal criticism. You’re not in charge, that’s all.

If you were a journalist MawB crosses at the end of a sentence replace a full stop.Imagine how disappointed I was when I found this out,I thought my boyfriend was being really romantic.Back to the thread,bare feet or slippers in the house.

Oddly enough CarrieAnn my father was a journalist on more than one national newspaper as well as editor of a regional and I have never ever seen what you mention.

By your reckoning we would presumably see xxx at the end of letters from HMRC, the bank, the utilities, and all over the broadsheets and tabloids

You just don’t get it, do you? You’re the one taking pot shots here, there and everywhere. There was no need to say anything at all to Flyinghandbag in the first place but you can’t just apologise, can you, and admit it? Then you have the nerve to say to Grannylyn that SHE was being rude. You’re just not used to anyone pulling you up about anything you say and then you say “It’s a let’s pick on MawB day”, that’s just self indulgent.

You’re right CarrieAnn in shorthand you do use a cross for a full stop so I don’t see why MawB has never seen it. But if she hasn’t seen it, it can’t have ever existed, could it? I’ve worked in newspapers and very high flying jobs and I know it exists but that’s not what the OP was doing, she was merely putting a kiss at the end of her posts, not a hanging offence!

Now, back to the thread, do you all swear that Animal flip flops are really comfortable, even between the toes? I’ve got some redundant Fitflops which are a complete waste of money because they hurt. If anyone would like them, bronze, size 6 then you’re welcome to them. They just kill me and I don’t want to waste more money.

Back to indoor shoes, I wear sketchers sliders, very useful and comfortable.

Luckylegs - The bit between the toes in Animal flipflops is soft, padded jersey materiel. I find them so comfortable but I guess if your toes are close together they might be uncomfortable. I would hate to 'big them up' and you then find them not suitable .

Lucca I rarely post and you have picked on the only two people that I have had a beef with. Grandad being months ago, certainly not today as you infer. I think that’s very unfair and if you and others were fair, you would be backing me up as you must have noted the same responses that I have. I’m very disappointed that no one can bring themselves to support my comments.

Sorry, I hadn’t realised the other one was an old thread. It was commented on today and I always look at the whole thread.

Back to the OP, I wear 'sensible' (aka not particularly attractive), slippers or shoes. I can't feel my feet, and sew, so invariably there are pins on the floor!
