I would like some advice please if anyone has any suggestions. My neighbours possibly early 50s live in the house at the bottom of our garden . Twice now I have heard loud grunting noises coming from their windows.I don’t want to go into detail but I hope people on here can get the gist! I really don’t know what to do about it as I don’t want our guests/grandchildren listening to it. Should I shout up and tell them to shut the windows? I’m at a loss what to do.Help!

Hilarious!

Takes me back a few years, we’ll actually many years?.

Next time I would pop out and check that it is human noises you’re hearing because it might be a pig as they make very grumpy noises or it could be a hedgehog?‍♀️. Don’t worry about the DGC as it would take more than grunting noises to wake them!,.

Awful, who on earth wants to hear that!!! Like you say Grandma24, very embarrassing especially if you have friends or young family around.

when we are sat at our patio table eating our chinese it puts us off.

Are you Alan Bennett?

oh those were the days!

Chewbacca I just spat out my early morning cup of tea all over myself laughing, reading that...! Those WERE the days indeed!!!??

Maybe give them a nice round of applause next time. ??

Would you like them to schedule it around your mealtimes? Slip you a timetable? C’mon, I understand you don’t like it, but seriously? Folk can do whatever they want within their own homes - including drumming! Live and let live!?

Howling with laughter when you described it putting you off your Chinese. Can just imagine a scene like this in Gavin and Stacy grin

Only Misadventure has come up with a viable solution . No one seems to take it serious. If it was someone banging on their drums making an almighty sound I’m sure you would be round there but because it’s a delicate matter no one seems to date go round

They need to shut their windows!

Grandma24 Sat 27-Jun-20 00:08:30

Never said in same day did I?

Don’t understand what you mean? There's plenty of noise, very disturbing.Their house is behind 4 gardens, ours the nearest.

?

GagaJo Fri 26-Jun-20 23:21:53

Hahaha Chewbacca, I'm with you on that.

Chewbacca Fri 26-Jun-20 23:19:27

I'm exhausted just stacking the dish washer let alone an afternoon of bedroom gymnastics.

Kalu Fri 26-Jun-20 23:18:50

They live in a house at the bottom of your garden? I can’t imagine this little couple making any audible type of noise.

BlueSky Fri 26-Jun-20 23:18:02

Perhaps they just fake it to impress the neighbours! grin

Chewbacca Fri 26-Jun-20 23:14:27

I don't know how they have the energy in this heat.

Lucca Fri 26-Jun-20 22:57:37

Twice !! In one day ? Impressive. In one month ? Pretty standard. At Christmas and his birthday ?

GagaJo Fri 26-Jun-20 22:52:55

Post it!

MissAdventure Fri 26-Jun-20 22:33:15

How about an anonymous little note or card?
It means you'd have to make sure you weren't seen delivering it, though.

Grandma24 Fri 26-Jun-20 22:23:33

I’m not uncomfortable I just wouldn’t think I was doing it and someone was listening to me.Im not a prude but think they ought to know everyone, at least another 3 houses can hear them.

Grandma24 Fri 26-Jun-20 22:19:15

No don’t think they will know but when we are sat at our patio table eating our chinese it puts us off.

Grandma24 Fri 26-Jun-20 22:18:05

Don’t think so.

EllanVannin Fri 26-Jun-20 22:17:28

I'd be playing Chuck Berry's----" My ding-a-ling ", loudly grin
