I love this morning , especially when Ruth and Eamonn are on. Don’t mind loose women now and again

NotSpaghetti Fri 17-Jul-20 09:39:54

I've only ever watched TV in the morning/daytime at Christmas or if trying to get info from a Hotel room - so not sure I could name anything at all!

HootyMcOwlface Fri 17-Jul-20 09:43:08

I love Bargain Hunt, Antiques Roadtrip and the Repair Shop.

Can't stand the 'music' on those quizzes and how some of them have to explain their answer +at length) before they give it - just say it! Ggrrrr!

I must be the only saddo who watches (records) 'old' Coronation St on ITV 3 in the afternoon. So much fun seeing the current oldies as they were 30 years ago - and the price of a pint in the Rovers in 1996 - £1.20!

I don't watch daytime TV as a rule but I do like Escape to the Country so I record it to watch at a convenient time. I was an Estate Agent for several years & I loved looking round other people's homes.

olliebeak - Is one of the Loose Women that you turn off Janet Street Porter by any chance? I really do not like watching her! shock

Our tv was not recording anything and when it was repaired we lost all our original recordings. I get up earlier than Mr R and like to watch the tv till he gets up. Sooooooo I went looking for something to watch and found on itvB a programme called The Bachelor. Really it's what I would normally call utter rubbish but I love it. Every morning I settle myself down with a cup of tea, slice of toast and enjoy total escapism. I don't expect anyone to come on here and say "Oh, I love that programme too!" - quite the opposite actually but there it is. Mind you it does help that The Bachelor is very dishy grin

I can’t live without “Say Yes to the Dress”. I watch versions from USA , Ireland & Canada, but Gok Wan’s is by far the best. What a genuinely lovely, kind human being he is.

Saggi Fri 17-Jul-20 10:39:48

Nothing.... thank you Netflix!

inishowen Fri 17-Jul-20 10:41:30

I love Doctors but it's off for the summer. I loved Money for Nothing and Find it, fix it, flog it, but they have disappeared from our screens.

icanhandthemback Fri 17-Jul-20 10:46:13

Anything but the News channel which is on all day in our house. Sometimes I feel like I could recite the soundbites by memory which is pretty telling with my atrocious memory!

Noreen3 Fri 17-Jul-20 10:47:52

I enjoy Bargain Hunt.I like it when they make money, all too often they don't.I sometimes think they buy rubbish when there are so many nice things they could buy.I like Dickinson's Real Deal too

GrammarGrandma Fri 17-Jul-20 10:48:50

It would never occur to me to watched TV in the daytime! Radio 4 all the way.

rowyn Fri 17-Jul-20 10:53:24

Bargain Hunt, along with a cup of proper coffee.

PipandFinn Fri 17-Jul-20 10:56:18

I record lots of American True Crime programmes.
Love Judge Judy.
The Chase is the best.
Can't bear Loose Woman OR Eammon & Ruth...

rowanflower0 Fri 17-Jul-20 10:56:51

Escape to the country, Place in the sun, Homes under the hammer, and Bargain hunt. can't stand Countdown that my other half insists on watching - garden when that's on!

Grandma70s Fri 17-Jul-20 10:59:56

Escape to the Country is my favourite, though it does induce envy. If I’m at a loose end I sometimes watch Impossible. I’ve never noticed the presenter other than to be faintly irritated by him, but that goes for most presenters.

I do watch the News Channel and politics, for instance Prime Minister’s Questions..

Aepgirl Fri 17-Jul-20 11:00:32

I like Escape to the Country. I could just see myself living in some of the lovely houses, and trying to decide if the prospective purchasers are genuine or just want to be on the programme.

I really detest Loose Women.

Bazza Fri 17-Jul-20 11:00:56

I loved escape to the chateau when it was on. My really guilty secret is also Neighbours. I’ve only got one friend who watches it, or who admits to it! Pure escapism.

henetha Fri 17-Jul-20 11:01:15

I've loved Escape to the Country for many years, but it's all repeats at the moment so I've switched to Home is Where the Art Is. But I record it to watch later as I don't like watching much tv in the daytime. The tv is usually off until Pointless which I really like.
On a wet afternoon I might choose something on Netflix but that's all.

Lupin Fri 17-Jul-20 11:02:57

I record Bargain Hunt but only so that I can fast forward through to the auctioneer estimates and the sale. The faffing around earlier gets on my nerves.
I like Father Brown and Shakespeare and Hathaway., The actor who plays Sebastian in the latter is a star turn.
I also like Escape to the Country. I love drooling over the properties, and the camera work on that programme is sometimes the work of an artist - all the closeup shots of plants and trees.

Juicylucy Fri 17-Jul-20 11:07:57

I love escape to the country looking at all the properties, if I like it’s pretty countryside that it’s in I jot It down and put it on my places to visit.

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 17-Jul-20 11:11:41

DH has the TV on from the time he gets up. I put it off when he walks the dog. Then it's time for This Morning, so I watch bits while having a cuppa. I do like to watch Heights at Lunchtime. Other times I am usually too busy. DH will have Midsomer Murders or Poirot or similar, or often programmes on train journeys (I'd rather go on the train journeys)

libra10 Fri 17-Jul-20 11:12:46

The Chase is my favourite, Bradley Walsh is brilliant, great banter with the contestants and also the chasers.

Flick through in the mornings between Jeremy Vine and This Morning, depending what is being discussed.

And the news at 1pm.

dani4 Fri 17-Jul-20 11:15:22

Escape to the Country is my favourite, also sometimes watch A Place in the Sun. Love the Chase too.
