Getting your leg over past 60..........?

Well, I admit it was quite a struggle, even with assistance. The steps helped a bit, but I just couldn't seem to get it high enough. I think the footwear didn't help, or perhaps the place it was supposed to go in was too small? confused

Anyway, it was pretty undignifiedblush but in the end I managed.smile

Afterwards my legs felt like jelly (I suppose it was only to be expected, under the circumstances, after all its been a long time, 30 years actually)

But I was pretty chuffed that I managed a 1 hour horse ride through the forest! grin

Even did a passable rising trot!

You did make me laugh Phoenix. I haven't ridden a horse now for many years since the old boy died. The horse I mean! And I have to avoid even the mini trampette in the gym.
I did manage to press the horse thermometer back into service during the current crisis but even though I washed it no one wanted to use it!

3nanny and others- how could you possibly think that phoenix was describing anything other than horse riding? Shame on you with your thoughts, as you said, in the gutter.

Don't think so kitty and just as well they arent!

Too many options already, with wings, without wings, night time, day time, extra length, extra absorbent, blah blah .

Imagine the various choices if they added trampolining, horse riding, gymnastics, gardening (heavy digging, bit of light weeding,) extreme ironing, oven cleaning (with/without bending)

Where would it end?

Are the packets labelled differently?

blushgrin

Tenaladies for horse riding.
I was thinking of buying some for trampolining!
Gosh they are versatile ?

Phoenix you do know how to lure us in.

Your titles can grab the imagination.
The thread is certainly entertaining.

Do you intend getting your leg over again soon? on that horse
I mean.
Could just imagine a conversation in a shop about that with
two men standing behind you, they would be more than interested.

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 19:47:41

3nanny6 that's how I lure you in! grin

I had a thread recently with title "So I pulled my pants down......"

and another one entitled something like "Its dropped off! "

Keep 'em guessing!

(And hopefully entertained?)

I must do more to educate and have a clean thinking mind.

Getting your leg over past 60 !!!!! and my thoughts were in the gutter.

Relieved when I read it was about a horse ride and well done seeing you hadn't done it for 30 years.

Oops. Good job it didn’t bite your posterior phoenix ?

phoenix Thu 23-Jul-20 14:22:51

Hello all!

Well, not too bad at all today, no more achey than usual!

However, I have a swollen, hot, red hand where it was bitten by a horsefly! shock

Male Gransnetters, Ramblingrose? I nearly chocked on my coffee yesterday when my wife told me that:
“The landscapers are coming over today to trim the bush.”

suzette1613 Thu 23-Jul-20 06:29:21

Well done Phoenix, hope you decide to keep getting your leg over.
I still have my horse but can’t ride her any more, she is exercised by a friend and has horsey company. Love spending time with them.

Getting your leg over? God, you do make me laugh, I really wasn't sure what this thread was about blush

annep1 Wed 22-Jul-20 23:16:45

Not what I was expecting but I did enjoy the laugh.
Haven't been on a horse for 20 years.
Very envious. Well done you!

phoenix Wed 22-Jul-20 22:14:53

blushgrin

Ramblingrose22 Wed 22-Jul-20 21:12:21

When I saw the headline I was wondering which of the male Gransnetters had created the post.

Glad it was about a horse......!

Dont ever stop posting Phoenix!

phoenix Wed 22-Jul-20 20:18:54

sodapop no, no padded undies, although must confess to taking the precaution of a Tena Lady type pad just in case the exertion of climbing aboard might have caused one of those "oops" moments!

sodapop Wed 22-Jul-20 19:56:49

Well done Phoenix did you wear the padded undies ? grin
Very brave to even attempt a walk let alone a rising trot.

phoenix Wed 22-Jul-20 19:47:49

Sorry B9exchange blush

B9exchange Wed 22-Jul-20 19:43:10

Phoenix you are a gem for keeping us all entertained whilst waiting for the baby! Although I did think there was an element of TMI on the smear test, smacks of boasting to me! shock
