I shall not be going too far. Have just been told that we can expect a visitor. I'm unprepared. Cannot let the side down by appearing to be scruffy. I really wanted to get out into the garden.

Latest pic of our great grandchildren...enjoying a sunny afternoon.
I did intend doing as little as possible today. My excuse, it's the day after my birthday. Well... I thought to myself that I should do a wee hour of dead heading in the sunshine. That decision was made at 3 o'clock. I've just staggered indoors having de-forested a large section of garden that had been taken over by sticky weed, brambles and ferns that have grown up into the lower branches of saplings. Once I started, I had to continue. You lot know the feeling. 
Several barrowloads of debris disposed of. I can actually walk into what was a no-go area. Bliss. One of our twin robins helped me. He was rewarded with a patch of loamy soil containing a few juicy worms.
Now I need to shower. I have a treat in store. A Mars bar. When I was a child, a Mars bar was a weekly treat. Since I've been aware of my expanding waistline, I've resisted the temptation to indulge. Only, it being my birthday weekend, I am ready to make the most of it. Yay!
Wish that I could invite you all into my home. I would love to spend a happy hour with you. Since that isn't possible, I wish you all a pleasant Sunday evening. Please remain safe.

I have read every one of your kind messages and so wish that I could thank each of you personally. Without you lovely lot there wouldn't be a kitchen. You give something of yourselves to our kitchen. I cannot recall a single occasion when bad feeling spoiled the virtual friendship we share. Long may we continue to support each other, share our fun times and understand that, although we cannot fix each other's problems, we can be there whenever a listening ear is of some comfort during times of stress and sadness.

Haven’t been in the kitchen, or actually several before this one, for ages and ages. Peeked my head round the door just now and noticed it was your birthday, lovely soop.
